    There is slightly more brutality to colonisation rather than the romanticised version...
    Fun fqct: the train company is know as KTM = Keretapi Tanah Melayu = literally Train of the Malay Lands first set up bybthe British way back when...

    Malaya racist liberation party? You are repeating the rubbish we have been fed before and after independence. The book you are reading is written by someone who is still colonised in the head. You should read Anthony Burgess The Malayan Trilogy. instead. He is at least honest about lmperial intentions.

      Thank you for the recommendation for Anthony Burgess' book, I will definitely have a read as I'm always open to expanding on what I've begun to learn in this video. I felt that, in this video, I wanted to highlight a Malaysian author but always happy with further reading suggestions. I did say 'Malaya Races Liberation Party' but it did sound like I said racist -- not my intention! I saw the group was also named the Malaya National Liberation Party but was a bit confused why there was a difference.
