- This period, within the Cosmogony of the Three Worlds, is the third period of our human existence, and at the Inca sites it is represented, according to Alfredo Gamarra, by the most simple style, the walls and buildings with smaller stones, worked upon with hammer and chisel, without the perfect fit we saw in the Uran Pacha. Also mudbricks were used, just like they do nowadays in Peru. Alfredo said this style belongs to the Incas. They built over the other 2 styles, as we will see in the next chapter. Below the text of the video;
Ukun Pacha, known as the Supaypa Wasin, or House of the Devil, is also known as Kay Pacha, or the "here-and-now".
It is expressed in a cellular architecture, using a hammer and chisel to shape the pieces.
Practically all the architecture of Ukun Pacha belongs to the Inca period, in what represented their effort to mimic the forms created by their ancestors, the Uran Pacha, without achieving their sophisticated quality.
Small stones were used, joined with mud to achieve beautiful results such as this circular temple.
In the late Inca period adobe, or mudbricks, were used.
Beautiful work... Thank you! :o) .
