Dealer stays on hard 17 in blackjack. According to basic strategy, you're supposed to stay on hard 17 in every scenario, no matter what the dealer is showing. Since 17 isn't a very good hand, but you're supposed to stay anyways, us dealers tell players it's the mother in-law hand.. You want to hit it, but you can't.

When a Jack comes up, you slap your hand down on it and yell SLAP JACK!! And then you get all the cards on that deck. If you don't yell slap jack, or if you slap your hand down on a card that's not a Jack, the opposite player gets the deck. The last one with all the cards wins!
