A 500 pound air dropped bomb is considered a smaller version in most armies. But how powerful is a 500 pound bomb? Please like and subscribe for more! :)
Israel definitely needs 500pounders in order to "target" hamas in Rafah while eliminating the possibililty of civilian casualties. Does any of this make any sense?
That distance seems exaggerated, 500lb jdam is a 30m blast radius and 50m kill radius… he was probably closer to 50m away.. unless they dropped it on a building or something.
@@shepleonard8695 even still with those numbers, if he was as close as he said he was he would be dead. Right? The only way I could see why he would have survived was it the bomb was dropped on a building that had maybe like block security wall around it or some other structures around that would help dampen the blast before reaching him.
@micr0d0t97 You don't understand shockwaves or explosives.... his team was in defilade aka a depression and somewhat protected. Still they should have been hurt or killed, but they weren't. I've seen 155mm artillery shells explode at point zero distance and the EOD who was standing by it walked away. Weird stuff happens.
@@shepleonard8695 did you miss the part of my comment where I said unless he was behind a wall or something that would change the blast? And in this video he never said anything about being in a depression. Maybe take a chill pill bud
This is just pure nonsense. The airblast equivalent is about 60 kg of TNT (some of the energy goes to fragments, ground) and this gives 99 % lethality radius of 8 m. The pressure falls to quite safe levels (just about enough to puncture ear drums) at 15 m. The fragmentation lethality radius is about 30 m, as you can clearly see on the ground. The 80 m figure assumes unrealistic distribution of frgaments.
please tell me you are kidding right?🤨 fragmentation lethality radius is 30m. seriously??????????. I can easily throw a golf ball size rock over 30m.( Bebe Rexha got her head busted by fan throwing iPhone).
Helldiver Bile Titan: "Oh it tickles!"
Especially since it’s only a 227kg bomb and like he said half of that isn’t even explosive material.
Bro I came here just to see a 500kg irl to see why bile titans, chargers, hulks and factory striders eat them for breakfast
Moral of the story, bomb fight back, unlike board don't fight back
230 kilograms
500 pounds
1500 5 inch bananas
SF guys in Afghanistan had a 500lb JDAM dropped 22m from there position and lived.
Literally here from watching the clip of one talking about it. Fuuuuck that
Depends on terrain and stuff. If a bomb is drops on the other side of a dirt pile you have a higher chance of living.
Best reference for 3d pyro simulation ❤
alright, who came looking for a proper kill radius for the 500kg in HD2?
I cant be the only one who feels like its underpowered....
I love when i have a very specific question and a youtuber has made a video with a ready made answer lol.
Remsmber than for the borsellino assasination 125kg of tnt were used
Wow
Kilo grams🤌

Hint: The “civilian casualties” are Hamas fighters in training

155mm artillery has a 50m likely kill radius and 350m likely injured radius. A MK-82 JDAM has a 80m -100m kill radius.

Where on earth do you get this information?

stop talking like that just talk normal for the sake of god
So, if this bomb direct hit a car or people, their bodies no where to found right?
