@@JoshBelowKnee right, that's what I saw too. Was hoping you or someone else would know where I could find them or something similar. That FJR had some pegs that clamped onto the tie down bars. Bet they would work on a ST1300.
I have two ST100's...a 2000 with 115K on it that I bought brand new and a 2002 with 80K that I bought used with 25K on it. I see no reason why I would want foot pegs like this as I have vastly modified the handle bars (by installing an aftermarket set of bars from a Gold Wing) and already have a straight up riding position.
@@JoshBelowKnee I test rode several bikes, including BMW's and a Concourse before deciding on the ST 1100, but the crouched over riding position killed my neck in a very short time. Immediately after buying it, I removed the stock handlebars and installed a highly modified set that came off one of my Gold Wings, which were not stock GW, but allowed a much more upright riding position. My daughter in law stopped by and later told her dad (whom I was planning on riding with) "I don't know which bike he is taking, but it isn't his new one as he has it all torn apart and spread all over his shop!" Well, ride it I did. It wasn't exactly totally finished, but was ridable. With the extra set of forward foot pegs and an upright riding position, I have a lot of variability, which make long trips much more doable. Once in a while, on long trips with straight stretches of isolated roads with little traffic, I switch to the 'rear' position, sitting far back on the seat with my hands totally removed from the handlebars and let my 'body shifting' do the steering. In about two months, I plan on riding from my central CA home to visit my brother in northern ID, then diagonal through CO, going to the top of Pikes Peak (Which I have never done) then on down to Roswell, NM to visit the UFO museum and then back home. I am nearing 79 and this could well be my last long trip via motorcycle, so I'm planning on making the most of it. This will give me just enough time to get home so I can fly with my wife to Argentina to witness this year's total solar eclipse...my 10th and her 4th. But first, we have a UFO conference in northern Oregon to attend.
Can you post some pictures or video so we can understan how you did it? it would be great if you let us know where you got the spare parts to make your position up right. Thanks in advance
