Torn between the Vcore pro 97 and the new Vcore 98. Don't want to sacrifice too much spin and power with the Pro, hesitant of the high launch angle on the Vcore 98.
You could experiment with string on either one. Add string like a babolat rpm with around 23kg/46lbs for more power and spin. or a solinco hyper g to reduce the launch angle a little. Maybe something like that is worth a try thanks for the comment
Great technique, especially that smash and open stance backhand😅 Would you recommend going from old Pure Drive 2015 (very stiff) to something like this Yonex or it’s better to go safe with the VCore/EZone 98?
Thank you for the compliment :) Not to easy to say. The pure drive is very different to the VCORE Pro(ultra low powered but extremly good feel and control). Maybe the jump is to big. With the vcore 98 could be an easier transition. Also have a look at maybe the Extreme Tour or the Gravity Tour from HEAD. Hope that help you :)
Yeah, the fact is I used this PD since I was junior and nowdays I’m just too strong (Dwayne the Rock Johnson meme) and i feel like i have to use my wrist a lot more to get the balls stay inside (eastern grip FH, one-handed BH agressive baseliner) Never tried the Head so I’ll definitely give it a try, thanks for your help and keep up the videos coming🎉
@@uros9151 yeah sure. I know that all too well :D Shooting for the back fence with the Pure Drive was a constant when playing with it for the first time :D Maybe also the Pro Staff is a racket for you ;) if you lean towards more a flat game. Thanks man :) really appreciate it
Great battle! This answer was needed for me because I was about to buy a 97-square-inch frame. Yet, not sure about which way to go. I just have a question about the stiffness. Is Pro Staff a racquet which can make me feel sorry to buy it in the future? I do not have a significant issue on my arm as a Pure Drive 2021 user but still wondering if the difference in terms of stiffness really makes a huge difference between PS and VCP.
Thanks for the question. I am very happy to help. Overall 97 are very hard to play long term I would say. Smaller head, smaller sweetspot also heavier and more control oriented. You can buy the pro staff without hesitation but maybe try softer strings. Multifillament string or soft polys would be my recommendation. If you are looking for a more controlled frame as the pure drive maybe try the Head Extreme Tour (98 head, softer frame, 305g, 16x19, and easier to play or a Blade 98 with 16x19) - Test maybe the Pro Staff and maybe two or three other rackets. I hope I could help.
@@servingaces Thanks for the generous help. I heard many good comments about Blade 98 16x19 except for its power level. I do not have any problem on providing powerful shots with 97 frames however, there is no chance to demo all these rackets. Right now, I'm a bit confused. Maybe I should go with 16x19 v8 Blade, or even 18x20 might be good choice.
Yeah sure. It depends. 16x19 is for more spin and power, 18x20 is for more control. But you always can experiment with strings. If your racket is powered to low - go down in tension. If too much power go up in tension. You kind of have to experiment a little. I went to from 27kg on my speed pro to 24kg after changing to the gravity pro. There are way too much racket on the market right now and that is why I have decided to make this channel to help someone like you who are looking for a new racket.
Belle vidéo 👋 J'aime bien ta façon de jouer. As tu un classement? Comment comparerais tu la raquette vcore pro 97 et l'extrême tour? Et laquelle choisirais tu? En gros quelles sont les différences. Merci beaucoup et bonne continuation.
Hey again, thanks for the comment. Response as usual in english :D I have no points in any form of ranking even national. Just love playing tennis for fun :) but I do play for 23 years already only being 28 now. The Vcore Pro is way more controlled and you have a overall better feel. But extremely low powered and the sweetspot is smaller. Spin potential is also better on the Extreme Tour. It depends on how you play. If you want to play flat, agressive and go to net as much as possible. The Vcore Pro is maybe the better choice. If you play aggressive baseline tennis with spin but also like to counterpunch a lot and also rely more on kick serves then the Extreme Tour would be a better choice. I hope that help.
@@servingaces Merci, très gentil pour cette réponse détaillée. Je suis avec l'extrême tour, je commence a bien joué avec, peut être faudrait il que je rajoute un peu de poids. Bonne continuation, et à bientôt.👍
@@servingaces at the end of the video you showed a picture of the previous version (the green one). The current version is more black with green and purple accents. ;-)
Not necessarily. If you hit it clean it is not :D But off center of course it feels like a wooden board. Strings also can help. I would not use a poly in this racket. But you are right.
@@secure777 For a multifilament is good my string of choice the Head Lynx Tour (good spin and feedback) Hyper G soft is good for a armfriendly string but it is not ad good for spin but for attacking maybe also a Yonex Polytour for a better feel

what strings do you use with the Pro Staff?
The RPM Blast is used by the owner. To get more top spin out of it :) Which does help actually
