As someone who grew up eating Nigerian food, I can attest that eating it from a restaurant just doesn’t compare. If your ever able to get your hands on real home cooked Nigerian food you will be blown away.
All Nigerian foods come out better and best, and with the best experience ever when it’s home made. That being said, I really would like to give a shout out to all Nigerian restaurants owners in diaspora for their commitment to continue to showcase our cuisines around the globe. Nigerian foods are healthy and the best!❤
@truethots3088 nah dude, let's not try to justify that price, goat is not that expensive, I can get an even bigger plate at my local Nigerian restaurant for half the price, that place he went to scammed him.
Food looks crazy seasoned, but I'm too much of a p**** to try goat lol. I would say 27 plus dollars is a bit much, but I'm reminded that a couple of Jamaican restaurants near me charge over 20 plus for SMALL oxtail platters. Everything is getting crazy expensive
Yes!! More of these 😊 Absolutely love all of your other videos but so excited to see you trying new foods, cultures, small businesses. Also, we are all 💀 over the "I'm black" comment.. you're so funny. Here for your journey. I'm not black btw, but that had me crying lol. Can't wait to see what you try next
Nah, it's a cultural difference and I love it. I'm all for my Asian brothers trying the black experience. I mean, I'm some type of Chinese that loves their culture... :P So it balances out!! 😁😃🌟🌟
I worked with a Jamaican guy and one time he took me out to eat and it was curries goat over rice. I’m not the most adventurous eater but it felt like I test to do business with me! It was a little gamier than I hoped
I had most of this with turkey but no plantains and it was all homemade from someone once and it was one of the best meals I have ever eaten in my LIFE. African food (what if it I have tried) and Mexican food deliver some of my favorite EVER!! ♥️♥️♥️♥️
I’m South African living in England and I have to say Nigerian jellof rice is one of my comfort food when I miss my continent 😂😢❤ No one hates jellof rice 😂
I was in Nigeria for 3 months last year doing missions and had the food there. It was superb but all the meats (chicken, beef, goat) were cooked too tough and chewy to eat. It was so tough that it made it too much of a challenge to really enjoy. I believe it must be a cultural thing why the meats are cooked so tough. But the seasoning and flavors are excellent.
I buy rice and beans and oxtail in Jamaica restaurant - GOLDEN KRUST for $30, and people are gladly paying. Now, it's African food and complaints everywhere.
It's a disappointment when the meat is tough. Nigerian beef stew with fufu is delicious. My mom used to make the stew over white rice for us when we were younger. I introduced the futu to my kids when they were in middle school but made fried fish stew instead and it's just as delicious 😋
That's real collard greens. Its called cassava lol our ancestors use collard and mustard greens because clcassava isnt as available here plus the candy yams we use pounded yam etc soul food is just American west African food
I have to stew my goat for several hours to get it tender and melt the ligaments n things. The price isn't bad. I spend 14-16.00 a pound for goat in my area. My area is also cheaper that the area hes in so its not that expensive
This is the most cultured black guy I ever seen
Nigerian goat is supposed to be chewy
Definitely black 100 percent approved out of labor

Same with Jamaican food, the restaurants don't do the home cooked food any justice.
@@adrianalex27that's sad cause the Mexicans bout 50/50 I bet so we don't get sassed down as much as u guys by that
that’s what every country says about homemade food tho
I think that stands for all food because mexican food tastes way better at home
Same goes for Cajun food
As a mixed guy I can, indeed, confirm that Shophocho is black

It looks good but 27$ is crazy
It's supposed to be about 11 dollars
Agree
Do you think goat and chicken is the same price😅😅😅. You don't complain when you are served a small steak for more.
@truethots3088 nah dude, let's not try to justify that price, goat is not that expensive, I can get an even bigger plate at my local Nigerian restaurant for half the price, that place he went to scammed him.
