very nice work my friend! watchet a lot of your tutorials for projection mapping they helped me a lot!
I have always that my projecion is blurred somewhere because of the dept differences... How do you solve this?

      +J Sturm thanks!
It depends on your location I guess, just try and get the projector as straight on as you possibly can.
And try to build structures that don't have a big distance between the front and the back.
A little bit of fuzziness isn't the end of the world though.

ok thats right. i wanted to build a big 3mx3m cube and had this problem. hoped maybe there is a trick but i guess i have to use multible projectors or find a solution with smaller depth differences. thank you very much dude! :)

How many sides are you trying to cover?

dont now exactly yet. planned to make the cube standing on one corner and project straight from one side.. that means 4 sides.

If you really want every surface to be in focus you would need a projector for every side.
I think you should be able to get away with just one though.

Hey Roberto, yeh I've been keeping busy but not doing a great job of documenting my work.
I'll definitely be making a decent edit of this project once it's finished and I might make a video should how it was built.

Say you were setting something like this or your other cube project to be portable to take to different venues that you were performing at; how do you mount or set up you projector when you might not always have a fixed position? or safe area to do so? Also think that you could ever do a video just about your gear?

      Hi Skep,
Yeh, it's the question I find myself asking the most: "where is the projector going to go".
Sometimes, in some venues, it's just not possible to get the full coverage or you end up having to redesign things to fit around the space you're working in.
It's very useful to know a bit about the venue before turning up and hoping they'll be somewhere to stick the projector because it's rarely that simple.
I doubt I'l make a video about my gear but I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have here.

Thanks for the reply, I been doing some research and it seems investing in some good clamps and lighting like mounting setup would be useful for my projector. Ideally I want to do some flat screen visuals and also have a portable mapping setup like your awesome box setup. I'm still getting started and only in the early stages but do have lots of video, music and DJ experience. Love the videos Keep it up.

      Cheers dude.
I used to have such troubles getting a decent projector mount but recently they got a lot better.
      I would recommend Duronic.
I also use laptop stands depending on the gig, both of these might help you out.

I think I might need something a little bigger stand wise. I want to use laptop, small midi controller and pref a mouse not trackpad. Great suggestions though!

You can use a laptop stand to angle the projector.
Good for messing about with stuff at home as sometimes it's tricky to point the projector exactly where you want it.
I agree, I need a bigger area for all the rest of my kit.
