Diana Ankudinova was 15 when this performance took place. This cover of Chris Isakas's "Wicked Game", now belongs to her. she demonstrates her true contralto sound which is a very rare female voice type. In particular, the quality of her tone, timbre, roundness, and depth of her sound, resonance, define her as a "dramatic contralto", the rarest of the rare type of contralto.
Diana is also a real polyphonic singer which in itself is a rare talent and is a vocal technique that creates two different tones at the same time which makes it sound like two different voices at the same time. This polyphonic sound is why some people mistakingly think she is using a voice synthesizer, pitch correction software, a vocoder, or some other mechanical device to manipulate her sound.
