Can't stop crying while watching this, I know Armin Arlelrt is just pixels but you've delved into his character personality, development, moral high ground, and his redemption is just so good and respectful. Armin is that someone who inspired us and we long for in our life.
One of his lines that stuck out most to me was when hange said "You came up with one hell of a reckless plan, did you get possesed by the ghost of erwin?" And he just says "With things as they are, i wish he was here right now for his guidance." I may have quoted it wrong but that mindset of "im doing what i feel is best but I wish I had someone I used to rely on here to confide in" adds a lot of depth to his character
I was never an anime fan at 39, but gave this show and was so addicted, I watched the entire thing within a week. All I have to say is Armin is a god tier character
Armin is very emotional and I think people just straight up hate emotional *male* characters and that's why he's "underrated". + He doesn't kick ass like Mikasa or Levi (who are characters that actually only stand out by being badass) Armin is goated though 🙏 Definitely the best character out of the main 3. I feel so bad for Armin, too. This man really supported Eren through all this shit show and stood up for him every single time because he actually had hope that Eren wasn't gonna do... All.. That🤦♀️ still "forgave" him though and promised to link up in hell... Aaaah I just love him, Armin really do be the best
I completely agree, to me emotional male characters can be even more relatable for me personally if they’re written well like Armin. Badass characters are awesome but emotional moments and characters always hit for me
He is the best character, hands down. Eren could see that, he had friends and family that was worth rumbling the world for and Armin is a huge part of that decision. In such a cruel world Armin never let go of his heart and never lost sight of the bigger picture. In the short term I understand how/why Erwin’s loss is such a huge blow, but long term Armin is the kind of driving force that the world of AoT needed in order not to crumble. His doubt, his love, his selflessness… for someone whose hands are stained with so much blood he somehow remains pure. He’ll meet his brother again in hell and be glad for it. Ugh I love him 🥲❤️🔥
Well maybe because the screentime has absolutely nothing to do with a character being under o overrated? When you ask about Armin in the fandom there are a surpicingly amount of people who think he is just a coward that piss himself ignoring all the incredible things he did and that if it wasnt for him and his big brain literally all the other characters wouldve died more than one time
@@Luky.73only during season 4 part 1 and e people didn't talk about him bc he didn't do much. For the rest he is one of most beloved i litterely don't know how the f you can say he is underrated or that people didn't appreciate him

Armin would hold Eren's hand and smile at him when Eren kills his own mother but Armin would punch Eren for hurting Mikasa's feelings? I can't take Armin's character seriously anymore. Armin wanted to have a chance to talk to Eren for so long and convince him to not do the rumbling but when he finally does get the chance, he is talking about love and Mikasa finding a better man and making a stupid weird face while Eren is actively murdering millions. Those who use violence are not intelligent according to Armin. Yet he himself punches Eren on the table scene Armin must be asking logical and important questions to Eren. This kind of ending might work for you but not for me. This is just my opinion. No need to get offended ARMIN IS TRASH CHARACTER
I respect your (wrong) opinion. First, Armin smiling at Eren when he tells Armin about his mother is the best he can do, neither Armin, me and especially you understand whats like seeing past, present and future all at the same time. We are unable to imagine because our brain is not suited for that, and thats why Armin smiles at Eren, because theres nothing he can and if Eren keeps talking about that subject it would make him more and more crazy and sad, so Armin, to release some Erens trouble, go over it and tell him to keep going (that he doesnt have to talk about it if its unbearable to him) Second, about him "having" to talk about stopping the rumbling, Eren already told him about most of his plan (but not about he was doing it at the moment whats more, theyre talking in past) and yes, of course theyre talking about Mikasa and love, because they know that that is the last chance they have to talk so theyll talk about everything, overall, something as important as love. Besides, they were in the paths, time didnt fluid meanwhile they were talking. Third, about Mikasa, the thing Armin said about finding another man and bla bla bla wasnt seriously, it was to make Eren angry (due to him forcing himself to not show emotions about that subject, because as we see then, he cries and feel so sad about not being able to live with them anymore) Armin is not a trash character, it isnt the best (it goes to either Eren, Jean, Reiner or Gabi) but it definitely is not trash but a very good one.
Just say you aren't smart enough to understand nuance like with Armin "getting mad at Eren" (which was a strategic play) and like things handed to you when you watch your shows lmao

i loved armin as a character since I first watched the show so I dont know why people kinda dislike him as a character
