Why did James do the Qualifier? I know Riley asked him to but I don't understand how him being allowed to compete is even possible. He's not registered on the team, I doubt the Regionals Board would allow him to dance for A-Troupe. I get the TNS World is separate to the actual world but still, this baffles me. Rules are rules and they shouldn't of allowed James to compete. Season 9 - Aspects of Internationals should not have been included, mainly the livestream. It added nothing to the episodes. Like we did not need any of the close ups of the viewers clapping. It was just unnecessary from a directing point of view. The soundtrack isn't memorable to me. It seemed like songs from previous Seasons were way more present, so we didn't even here the new songs a lot of the time. I had an idea for an unserious B plot were both Heath and Izzy have a crush on Pascal. With these two characters being how they are, this would be used as a comedic extension to Ebby and Niall's characters, adding more light-heartedness into a season which is filled to the brim with betrayal and tension. Also, I just need Heath and Izzy to be as close as they were in season 7, like I want these two to be besties, soulmates even. Just as a side note, I do wish Izzy had more opportunities to find their self in romantic situations because I do feel like they are denied that simply due to the fact that they are the only non binary character in the show currently, and the writers aren't really sure how to navigate their identity within the context of a relationship. Season 8 - Same as my Season 4 note, why did Richelle compete? This time they made it so that past teammates could dance for their home studio in the Professional Division round. To me though, that whole competition feels like a cheap reason to keep Briar on the show and highlight her even more. As I said in the video, I love Briar so much but I don't like how her character was given maybe even more importance in Part B then Part A. How are we meant to connect with the new A-Troupers if they are given no attention?
all valid opinions, richola was absolutely tragic and i’ll never get over how richelle treated her and never once apologized, and once lola was gone richelle shows no remorse and never mentions her again. and you’re right, season 7 characters felt so out of character it actually infuriated me
