I can remember the original anchor stores, Gayfer's, Godchaux's, and Newberry's. Later on, there was also a Jitney Jungle grocery store that was in the building but not connected on the inside. Later became Food Discount Center. Sears had the escalator that I just had to ride every time my Mom took me there. I can still remember the old interior with the 60's styling on the fountain and the indoor lighting.
When I lived in Biloxi back in around 2010, I used to go to this mall all the time with my grandma. This tour got me like 🥺. Especially when you showed Books-a-Million. I was hoping you would as I went there the most out of everywhere else in the mall. I was nervous about it possibly having closed down.
