Can't wait for the 5oz I was asking about it in the bullion now store a few days ago I got there a day early to get a 2oz 😅 so I'll have to order some online
I prefer the design on the gold and platinum coins then the silver coins, and it doesn't fit in with the designs for the rest of the lunar series coins which have been released the previews 4 years which is disappointing.
I don't believe Perth is in China and Perth Mint just released some baby dragon coins ( if you want to pay more than the quarter proof for a fifth of an ounce ). So they are capable of conceiving of juvenile dragons. Don't let the comment phase you, I'm just feeling irritated because it's so damnably hot here now.
@@dleetr The PM produced a cartoon dragon targeted at children. Bullion is not targeted at children for sales. If there is no baby dragon tradition in China (which is the custodian of the dragon mythology), then it's fine for the PM not to attempt to editorialise on an ancient mythical tradition.
Nice tidy opinion. Not a rebuttal however. If they were keeping the tradition of the Lunar animals, there would have been no mother and baby allowed, beause tradition. On top of that, they would have produced a wood dragon design, not the either the spring (season) or water dragon whichever it's meant to represent. Arguing with me can be tedious, I wouldn't recommend continuing, heh.
@@dleetr I think, given real animals do actually have offspring, their depiction on other years' coins showcases natural events. Mythical beasts are a separate category. Their genesis tends to be from mythical gods/beings and are often immortal, so, no need for sexual reproduction. You do have a point with the water dragon as opposed to the wood dragon, if the PM, in fact, did not adhere to Chinese tradition. I enjoy counter-opinions. I prefer them to the alternative.

Whoa! One could start a small scale business with just selling all those Dragons! 😃
The Niue Dragon rocks!
I've gotten a 1 and 2oz coin I'll have to get a couple others over the following months as it can be afforded.
The coloured 1oz silver dragon sold out in a day.
The colour highlights so much detail, particularly as the dragon is front facing.
The 5 ouncer will be nice to own.
Is the 1oz red dragon on card coming out in just plain bullion ? It says total mintage is 200k ?
BN is our Aussie’s Fort Knox.
Need the Platinums please 🥺

What happened to the extra Platinum 1 Oz Dragons coins??😢
How many does one need?
Finally!! Howabout the 1oz?
All gone
Sold out
A dragon from the sea
Once I ordered 20kg of silver bars and the FedEx guy left it outside my front door. Luckily no one stole it.

so much for the "silver shortage" lol
Do the Chinese have a tradition of mythical dragons having mythical babies??
