What if ferrule is present in part of the teeth and not wholly... I mean, the ferrule is absent in one part (side) of the tooth but is present in the other parts (sides) of the tooth... can I still go for post & core & crown (Zirconia)???
In such a case, clinical assessment has to be made based on various factors like, is it a single unit or multiple unit, anterior or posterior prosthesis, occlusal forces exerted by the opposing teeth and the amount of remaining periodontal support.... Single posterior tooth with average periodontal support and opposing occlusal forces can have an acceptable prognosis.
mam can u explain about core ferrule ?? is core ferrule and crown ferrule or the one and the same are different can u explain about counterbevel on core which is considered by many people as core ferrule
You need to make prudent clinical judgement based on various other factors like crown root ratio, periodontal condition, amount of remaining tooth structure..... and so on... Stay connected for future videos...
Is core buildup worth a try if no ferrule? Tooth #20 has more side support than ANY other tooth. Not really in back, so it doesn't get too much stress. Root is dead but intact for a post. Best tooth in the mouth I think, to succeed without ferrule. I can email an x-ray. Any suggestions?
Complete encirclement i.e. 360 degrees is not possible in every clinical situation. Therefore, an incomplete ferrule.... be it 180 degrees...is considered still better than complete absence of a ferrule..
mam it's very helpful please upload more vedio your teaching methods with hand writing and diagrams are easy to understand most important thing is that more output in less time

Hello, how to create ferrule on a root stump?
Hi! what is the least accepted circumferential ferrule? Is 180 degree still okay?

In engineering any ferrule is by definition a 360 degree structure. Anything less is practically useless.
Excellent lecture. Thanks ❤❤
