I agree! Everything in the hit era just looked so crisp and clean! In my opinion, everything just looks so real, and much less toylike. I think it has to do with the satin finish all the models had.
This isn't the first time I have seen a model railroader on youtube start printing their rolling stock but G scale is new and really good. I have been wanting to make close replicas of all the model series Thomas and friends characters and other things and make my own custom season of Thomas and friends. I have been having a heck of a time doing it but this type of video is usually really healpful. Great video.
I would Highly recommend Slaters Plastikard 1:32 (G1) 8 plain spoke wheels. REF: F8110. I have been using these wheels on my gauge 1 kits and they roll beautifully. would also suggest either Slaters Plastikard hook couplings or Walsall Model industries couplings and sprung Buffers. Walsall is unfortunately in 10mm Gauge 1 but the size comparison is barely noticeable.
I'm working on making a skarloey replica with my ender 5 plus This process has been tedious TEDIOUS!!! my printer has problems with leveling n what not and Ive had to replace parts But the whole process has been rewarding with a successful print I've been sanding and filling cracks with filler with the prints I have while I wait for a new Bowden tube I just worry about the painting because I am terrible with painting
Thank you so much brother man!! I had a lot of help with settings from @tankengine_jonjon so that played a HUGE role, if you need I’ll try to go over them and shoot them to you my man! :)
Probably eventually but I’m not too sure; I was getting bored of making them and people were getting sick of watching them tbh so I decided to branch back into other stuff. :)
printing buffers are a pain my neighbor and i printed buffers for my bachmann ho percy and james, i dont know if this will be of use to you in future but we found it easier to print out the entire buffer itself, the base and the head all at once
I've been wanting to make these to sell any suggestions? I do know I want to machine all the details in brass and be functional and the wood be oak for strength
I can think of two ways he'll paint his models. Air brush or.spray paint. Probably the latter option because he is more familiar with spray paint and he probably dosent have an air brush
@@ItsTrainBoy cool. Also, any recommendations for getting started with air brushes? I wanna make my own models and it seems like a good start 009 scale locomotives. But if it’s not ur thing I understands
I freaking love Hit rolling stock, wish there was more models of them
I agree
it’s literally the same rolling stock since 1989 but a different colour
@@karenfan010 I can say the same about other shit
It just Hits different

As someone who 3D printed a Gauge 1 Percy prop replica, I can confirm, this is how you can own a Thomas prop for free
The Hit Era has the best looking rolling stock pieces. I think you should do the blue trucks next
That or the green?? Hell I’d say the Circus Trucks but I wanna do the classic series version of those first
They're wonderful, yes, just wish they would have blended in some dirty classic rolling stock!
Looks like it’s right from the show, amazing!
This looks like you made it just like the show’s model makers did, because it looks exactly like the show. This is amazing! 🤩
He stol it
This is so cool I wish I could make my own but I don’t have the stuff to make it. This is amazing great video
Train boi doing his thang

The wood plank truck reminds me of the brick truck from Hornbys Thomas and The Great Discovery set
It looks just like a real Thomas truck from the show
That looks so accurate to the show’s version. Wish I had O gauge.
STUNNING model brutha man. Absolute masterpiece 👏🏾👏🏾
Thank You for the helpful tutorial!
Now I'm on Sif's HiT list

Very sneaky there TrainBoy.
I love that rolling stock that look like the Thomas and friend S8-S12 truck👍

The quality on that is great! My Ender 3 is nowhere near as good.-Das Mann

Yo when you gonna make another “the history of and his models”?
Probably eventually but I’m not too sure; I was getting bored of making them and people were getting sick of watching them tbh so I decided to branch back into other stuff. :)
@@ItsTrainBoy okay sorry I asked but wow. Trainboy himself answered my comment. This must be my lucky day.

That looks crisp
Your a very lucky man TrainBro
Think you make a Red Express Coach next? That’d be interesting!
Thats really nice! Keep going trainboy! 😌
Red Truck Spotted :D
Lucky, I've always wanted a 3D printer and haven't been able to afford one, probably gonna work on tugs models
Really good replica tho man
A new sick video!
0:58 short truck/ 3 plank truck
The guy who stole Toby and Stepney be takin notes for his next heist fr
Might make one
id like to see one of your locomotives pulling it in the future
Can you do a video on how you got your 3D printer to work
Nice 👍🏽
I've thought about getting a 3d printer for making models. Looks like a very complicated process, but I'm guessing well worth it if done right.
That is awesome i have a 3d printer too
Lol, I love it. Incredible
Wow
If you do get the chance to make a prop of an engine I recommend diesel 10
that would be to hard especially the claw id suggest thomas or molly
@@karenfan010 yea id start with a tank engine
did you get an expensive printer or a cheaper one?
I've been wanting to make these to sell any suggestions? I do know I want to machine all the details in brass and be functional and the wood be oak for strength
I would love to make a replica of skarloey
Are the wheels 3d printed too?
Yessir! The axles aren’t however
i am currently trying to print a truck i am doing a normal black model series one i am also doing a face
Does gauge 1 use g scale track?
It CAN but G Scale has rails that are about 1mm thicker so some G1 stuff doesn’t perform the best on it.
Alright,thanks!
If you're feeling really ballsy, try making Hector.
😃finally I can find out how to get guage one 😔but wait I don’t have the space or means for it
Would fool the prop store probably tbh
Another Molly cameo
Is the 3D printer difficult/complex to use? Also; paper is used for regular printers, what do 3D printers take?
plastic or resin I believe but I don't own one so don't quote me on that
The Flashforge Adventurer 3 is easy to use
I would recommend it…
10/10 would Flashforge Adventurer 3 again.
Have youmhought of just buying the tenmile kits? Some do still exist today
Make a prop acurate James with a bachmann James
can you do the history of molly's model
have any one thought to scale it down to ho/oo
Im watching the video in the cinema before Doctor strange
Where's the grape James?
Make a replica of drayton manor without the crippling depression.
I know a cheaper way, break into ThomasTankMerch's house.
oreo
I don't have a 3D Printer
Toby would like to know your location
You can always kill another collector and steal it
(It's just a joke pls don't report me)
dude, get a lathe.
dude not all of us got a 3d printer i dont have one lol
I can think of two ways he'll paint his models. Air brush or.spray paint. Probably the latter option because he is more familiar with spray paint and he probably dosent have an air brush
I have a few airbrushes I just don’t use them as much because I’m better with cans lmao
