- It's 2006 and Palworld just came out on the Nintendo DS!
This is the 11th demake in the series, where we take modern games and imagine them on retro consoles. This time, we've made Pal World for the Nintendo DS! There is a lot of inspiration from Pokémon Ranger, Black, White, Diamond, Pearl, basically all the DS Pokemon titles. But we also looked at games like Zelda: Phantom Hourglass and even a bit of Chibi Robo Park Patrol! (One of Niels' favorite games on the DS!)

The monster choice was pretty limited in rune factory though...

I heard a sound from Pokémon Ranger in there, that made me extremely happy, favorite Pokemon spinoff games.
I wish they didn’t discontinue the DS system line, I hope another company takes the concept and makes something similar. It’s such a good game system with a lot of potential

Facts! Ranger 2 is soo good!
Ranger 3 is great but without a buddy to do co-op… it was left lacking for me.
Ranger 1 is charming~
I always loved the DS Pokemon games (Imo it's the peak of Pokemon games).

DS pokemon games are overrated
This is stuff dreams are made of. So creative and reminiscent of a simpler time while somehow staying true to the Palworld formula. This is amazing. Kudos!
The amount of inspiration palworld has given to ppl in its short existence is unreal.
This looks great you guys! The 3D bits are what *really* sold the idea of it being on a DS! This whole animation totally captured (pun intended) the feeling of a DS game, you all did a great job on replicating some of the techniques they used back then :)
I'm always amazed by how well you capture the graphical style of these old consoles. Absolutely nailed it as always ❤

Oooooh! Love the use of 3D models in the cutscenes. Thats a nice balance to keep the game sprite based but give you a better idea of what characters look like during important moments. Neat idea!
