Love your enthusiasm. Glad you found joy in your Santa project. Your daughter’s ornament is so sweet and very creative. Happy writing, editing AND stitching.
My gosh … your daughter’s ornament for you is perfection! What a sweet moment, thank you for sharing 😊 Can’t wait to see more of Chilly. Happy Holidays!
Jennifer - I will tell her and she'll be so pleased. She has such a sweet heart and loves to craft for others. Thank you for stopping by and Happy holidays to you as well!
That is special to hear 📫 I always remember my dad coming home at Christmas with lots of treats and cookies from his customers ☺️ You probably remember the same!
You are such a great addition to our cross stitch community! Thanks so much. I am stitching the "Go Tell IT On The Mountain" chart, as our grandma once lived in Black Mountain, N.C. hugs
Kathie, Your comment really touches my heart. Thank you! What a special project to be working on. That sounds like a wonderful way to savor those memories. Happy stitching! 🎄
Oh my gosh! I love your daughter's ornament she made you; it's so precious! I love handmade gifts, even better when from our kiddos! Always enjoy your videos. Happy stitching!
I so enjoyed your video! So informative and gentle to watch in the wee hours when I have trouble sleeping. I will go back and watch them all. Your daughter has such artistic talent to make you such an adorable ornament. What a treasure it is and fun remembrance each year you add it to your tree. First time jingle-ball attendee . Lost internet over weekend but was able to get in and make way too many purchases and had two classes that I was able to go back into later. It was fun and will join next year as well. I also got “ Chili” and will stitch after Christmas.
So glad you enjoyed your time at the ball despite the internet problems. How fun to have those classes on your list as well as some new patterns. 😊 And thank you so much for your kind words about the video. I really hope you enjoy the others as well!
Your Christmas Goose is looking great! I love the sweet little ornament your daughter made for you! My preferred soft Aida is from Fiber on A Whim. Thank you for the Christmas story! Merry Christmas to you and yours!
Your Christmas Journey is looking so beautiful! I love the bright golden yellow in the lantern and in the window, and the textury pine tree. I am down from finishing the head and beard and the sack and am now working on his coat. I am like you, that it is hard to put it down. I love full coverage too and it is very satisfying. It reminds me of working on a jigsaw puzzle and just getting lost in it. I have used Country French aida but didn't know about the Zele Nava. I will have to look into that because I also prefer soft fabric. Last week I finished reading "The Gold in These Hills," and I LOVED IT!
Joanne...delightful posting...loved everthing you shared...most stiff Aida can be rinsed and what stiffness remains will abate as you stitch your patterns...best wishes and Merry Christmas❤
Loved this update and your Christmas Goose-and the story behind it! I attended the JB (my first time!) and enjoyed stitching while watching some of the entertainment Friday night into Saturday morning. Our weekend was pretty busy too, so I missed the meet and greets. Next time!
Thank you for watching! I am so glad you like the little goose. It was my first time, at the ball too! I agree - I'm hoping to spend a little more time there next year as well. So glad you got to duck in and have a little bit of the fun. ❤🎄
It was my first time to go to jingle ball. I did the pre stitching on the gingerbread house and constructed it at the class with tiny modernist. Planning to share it on my next flosstube. Love the tree on your full coverage. I did my first and only full coverage back in 1997 and it took me 2 years to stitch. I love watching your channel. Laurie (cloudy nook stitches)
It sounds like you had a great time at the Jingle Ball. That project was so lovely. I was tempted to take that class but was worried I wouldn't get the stitching done in time ;) It looked so fun! Thanks for your kind words on the full coverage as well and for stopping by. 😊
Loved your video this morning … I went to the Jingle Ball for the first time and I really enjoyed it … I went to the HOD Design class with Cathy and it was so informative and I loved it … all of your stitches are beautiful just like you … I am going to sign up for your newsletter … I hope you and your family have a wonderful Merry Christmas 🎄 and until next time Happy Stitching 🧵 … 😊❤ Dena
Dena, Thank you so much for your kind words! It's great to hear that you had fun at the Jingle Ball and the HOD class sounds absolutely wonderful. I hope you enjoy the short story and I look forward to connecting with you through my newsletter and here. 😌Happy stitching! 🎄
PBuckley Moss was my sister’s favorite designer in the 90s when she used to do cross stitch. I would have liked to have gone to Jingle Ball. Maybe next time. OMG…such a treasure of an ornament.❤
I took your advice and downloaded Christmas Journey from Leisure Arts, and Holy Cow what a difference it makes! In Santa's coat I was struggling to distinguish between 2 red symbols, one with a star and the other with an asterisk that were placed right next to eachother a lot. Thanks!
I really enjoyed your video. Keep up the good work. I cross-stitch on aida since since I am elderly and my eyesight is not good. Thank you for sharing your work on aida. 😊😊😊😊
I really appreciate that. And Oh, I agree. I am new to cross stitching and really appreciate aida. It feels very comfortable and whenever I get overwhelmed, I always am glad to have aida projects to work on. I hope you enjoy your stitching this December!
Love that you got Chili!! I got Milly and the Arctic Fox so that is funny :) Enjoy stitching Chili and hope you get her done before Christmas. Also, Merry Christmas to you and yours :)
Enjoyed your video - Picture this Plus dyed aida is also soft if you are wanting some dyed fabric. Merry Christmas to you and your family from Australia 🎄
Your daughters ornament is precious! I got you free book today (2nd one). Thank you! I am working on Jolly Happy Soul by Brenda Gervais. I like soft Aida. Merry Christmas!
Julie, Thank you so much! She read the comments a bit ago and it brought her a lot of joy. :) OOh, I haven't seen that pattern so will have to look it up. I hope you enjoy your Christmas stitching!
I love your videos thrift finds are great. Do you watch the Comfort stitcher, she use to work for Mary Engelbriet. I think it's her. Her videos are great to.
Im currently working on "the little brown bat" by cottage garden samplings. I dont mind how aida comes but when I hand dye aida myself i soak it first in wool wash washing liquid for 30 min in hot water (this softens it) then rinse and then soak in vinegar water 1 cup white vinegar and 2 liters water. Then dye my fabric and by the time i've done that and rinsed I have soft aida which started as still as a board.
Thanks for the help with soft Aida!❤ your daughters work has great ingenuity!

How neat! I will have to watch her videos. I’ve seen a few and they are very peaceful. Thank you for sharing!
Soft aida please. 😊😊😊
I agree! ☺️☁️
So, Leisure Arts sells pdfs? I didn't know that. It's a lovely design.
They do! Right in their website and they were very affordable 😌🎄
I hope you add your initials and the year on the ornament. It would be meaningful to see what you add to your tree each year.
Great idea ~ I will do that! ❤😌🎄

I appreciate you sharing your aida advice, Debbie. That is so smart and next time I have some stiff Aida, I will give this a try!
