When I paint infantry I do them in batches of about a hundred. It might sound a lot but once you find your rhythm and right painting technique it's not so bad. Irregulars I find take a tad longer but, often, they are looser formations and therefore fewer per unit. Depending on your unit sizes you can get a lot of figures done once you found your mojo as it were

I'm starting to think having a new war room is actually *increasing* your already prodigious painting output! 😛 Very nice weathering touches and details on the Arnhem house (love that little basket). Always nice to see Tiny (or at least her tail) make an appearance!

Hammerhead was great. The good thing with epic is that if you paint on sprue you start to get through a battalion quite quickly. Also, look for shortcuts, E.G I don't paint boots and hats now as I prime in black on infantry units and have sped up my painting process by leaving gaps which act as shadow. The units still look good. Have done prussians and made brits into Dutch Belgians that way. Use a white gel pen for straps etc too. I use speed paints for horses.
