Prophetic Alert : Day 3 - Humility

I want to start off by reading some quotes by William Seymour of Azusa St Revival :

The Pentecostal power, when you sum it all up, is just more of God's love. If it does not bring more love, it is simply a counterfeit. So many today are worshiping in the mountains, big churches, stone and frame buildings. But Jesus teaches that salvation is not in these stone structures-not in the mountains-not in the hills, but in God.
But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: “God opposes the proud but shows favor to the humble.” (James 4:6)
* Sign of spiritual pride
1. They sit on the place of a “judge.” Only God is the judge of others, not us. Passing judgment ..etc.
2. You are trapped in your own thoughts that you think are from God.
- Proud person has a mindset that is stuck and boxed in. All they think is all it is.
3. You think you are the only one God is using or your church is.
- Or you think that’s how it’s supposed to be.
4. Not able to learn. Un-teachable.
5. In action, you show mockery, putting down, and remarks that are demeaning.
6. Have a very hard time looking into your own issues. Not self-reflective. Introspection; self-reflection is very important.
Matthew 7:3
“Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?
How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye?

4 if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

God gave me this verse this morning-pride. Trying to do it myself; criticism… 2 Chron. 7:14…I have always had a grudge with my Pastor. He’s not my problem. I didn’t want to feel like I was being neglectful. Jesus will take care of it.
