I lived in one of those houses by the Weir, used to love the sun streaming through my windows as I watched the police drag bodies out the river where they'd get snagged in the Weir🤣
It was a great walk and I was as surprised as you 😂 can't believe they built it for that reason lol. Maybe it was a myth but I read numerous sources saying the same 😂
This was a beautuful Walk ..it has been Storming here & tornados all around here 😐 thanks for taking us along 🏞🌄 Your Walks & history on these places are fun & interesting! 😀🤗
Hi Brendan lv done that walk many times from Castlefields to Shrewsbury quarry in the summer...l miss living in Castlefields...l now live in Harlescott York rd 😔 and as far as lm aware there are no walks around here...unless you no otherwise...👍😊
It's a beautiful walk and I also used to live in Grange and I'm not aware of any scenic walks in that area I'm afraid but there are some nice fields to walk in opposite Ellesmere road 🙂

@@BrendanExplores My judgment is wearing the mandatory wearing of masks will be around for years. I do worry we will be in the same situation 10 years from now but try not to think about it. Btw I loved the drone shot in this video. Your videos quality really upgraded since I first watched. I believe it was when you went to Ironbridge with your dad the first time.

Never been that way how do you get to it from the bus or train station, please. I wonder if when we are safe and able to do so that an organised walk could be arranged for your viewrs I love your walks.
As the channel grows, that could be a great idea 😊. You can do the walk in reverse order from the train station/bus station 👍. If you start in the quarry and walk along the river path you will come to the weir. Then keep walking and on the right you will see a little walk through keeping along the river and eventually you will cross over onto the other side at Telford way bridge which is near where I started 😊

My grandad lived in castlefields when he was young and told me he used to do the weir walk and slide down it in the summer .
