This episode in particular was such an epic battle, it felt like a whole animated movie.
"Dick Lightning" is technically a real spell. Sam (Scanlan) asked Matt if he casted the lightning bolt spell, "does it have to come from my hands? Eyes? Mouth? Is that specified in the spell description?" Matt said it could come from wherever, and the rest was history.

Vm betrayed Raishan in the streams, she upheld her part and they (mainly vax) didn't uphold their part.

In D&D 5th edition, for a druid wildshape, you spoke in whatever beast type language/sound the beast would make. I think the typical dnd trope is you speak and it just comes out as the beast sounds. Lol Someone who can speak with animals or cast that spell would understand. In the most recent 2024 D&D rules that changed up a few things, you can speak in your normal language as the beast. 🦅

Scanlan being in a coma is related to how they changed his story line for the show. He had a character arc
in the original game that had him leaving Vox Machina on bad terms for a while. I highly recommend looking
up the scene from the Critical Role episode A Bard's Lament. Sam Riegel had arranged some things with Matt
Mercer prior to the game, but the interplay between players and characters was improv at its finest. I don't
want to spoil it for you by giving any details, but yeah, look up the condensed version of what happened and
be amazed yet again at just how good this cast is.

I'd wait until after episode 12 to do that.
