You are so welcome in Australia. The days are coming when the ploughman will overtake the reaper and the treader of grapes him who sows the seeds.I sense that happening What a spooky night the world lives in. Love from Australia,
I've been in Jerusalem twice for Purim. Shushan Purim, actually. The first time the weather was cold and wet, so not many people were out on the street. I had to go back for a second visit. Both times I attended Megillah reading at night in the Great Synagogue, and the next morning at Chabad.
@@SmileTravelVideos 14 Adar (March 7 this year) was Purim. The next day, 15 Adar/March 8, was Shushan Purim. Officially, since Jerusalem is considered a walled city (even the new part), they celebrate Shushan Purim. Unofficially, they celebrate both days. The first time I was in Jerusalem for Purim, it fell on Sunday with Shushan Purim falling on Monday. The celebration began at the end of the Fast of Esther, which was pushed back to the Thursday before. They celebrated Thursday night and Friday until sundown. After Shabbos ended, the celebration resumed. Megillah reading in Jerusalem was Sunday night. Afterwards, Ben Yehuda Street was one big party. Unfortunately Monday was cold and rainy, so few people took to the streets. I made it a point to return two years later and did Purim right the Jerusalem way.
