There's a new method you can do that doesn't require taking the gear off, and you don't have to adjust the drive either! You have to put the belt on the gear and spin it till it gets behind the gears post, then with the gear unscrewed (but don't take it off!) You can gently slide the belt underneath it, and then it fits in perfectly! No need for readjustments afterwards.
Hi I don't know if you can help me out I have the disk system and I'm having a bit of a problem and I have tried to run it on batteries but so far no matter which battery I have tried I keep getting the error 02 on the system at start up I have tried Duracell batteries and Energizer, but not seems to work I still get it and the person I got it from is taking their dear ass time getting back to me and as far as you know the belt was changed with a new one before I got it in the first place from the seller. Before I go and get the adapter he suggested it get I want to ask around.
You can try to use Famicom AC adaptor to connect Disk system. The cable, 1 Female to 2 Male DC Power Splitter Cable Adapte*y* is selling on eBay. It is only a couple of dollers. www.ebay.com/itm/5-5x2-1mm-12V-CCTV-Camera-1-Female-to-2-Male-DC-Power-Splitter-Cable-Adapte-y-/333901963055 Using this cable it will be able to supply power to both systems from one AC adaptor. If you still get the same error, the electrical board of Disk system has the issue.
I'm using a famiclone but I have access to another nes with an adapter for famicom games the guy I bought this from said I should try a adapter that is like 12 dollars and shipping
Finally, an FDS belt replacement video that is short and to the point!

4:49 is double checking a timing. Rotating gear behind and check a head position and click sound.

I also have an original real nes adapter but I don't want to take the chance for f damaging my fds since it is ac not dc
But I'm wondering why the batteries aren't working
Where did you get the belt? That you used on this vid. Thanks
