    Great video driver!
    You showed us how well prepared you need to be to handle all situations with the flat bed trailer operations, including dressing for the weather conditions.
    I felt early in my trucking career that flat bed wasn't for me, you have my respects, and I wish you success to your future.
    Keep Safe, & Happy Motoring!

    Man the knowledge your providing is awesome, this channel should definitely have more followers. I’ve been looking for someone that shows the work for a long time. Going to CDL school in 2 weeks and Melton is who I’m hoping to get on board with. Thanks man, and great work.

    I used to work for MTL, great company to start out with but ive resigned to due miles being too short and whatnot.. the pay didnt justify the stay, and then i found a job that only makes me work for 14 days a month rather than for 14hrs a day of the month, and it pays well.. very well.
    Id get back into trucking but i dont wanna be making less money if im doing a lot for 14hrs a day with little to no break (other than the DOT mandatory breaks granted, but i mean just more than a 10hr or 34hr reset.)
    if i can earn a solid 1000 if not 2000 dollars a week or heck make 5 or 10k a month id do it in a heartbeat... but with all the work MTL asks and the pay they give, great first job dont get me wrong, id would suggest a different trucking job if one were to stay in the industry.
    My cdl is still valid so ill be using it when i get my hdt peterbilt for my rv trailer.

    It sucks but everyone gotta do it. Best to keep up with weather when you load so you know to tarp so you wouldn’t be out in rain

    You all work your asses off and your company should compensate you for it but they don't that's why I don't flatbed no more too much free time without pay little do they know that that is a very dangerous profession I've seen people fall off flatbeds before and only $50 to tarp and untarp load it's not worth it you be safe out there

      I think the name of the stick for the edge protectors, is just "edge protector pole", its up to 8 ft long starting from just 4 ft, very handy, indeed.

    • @Wolfrider750Trucking

      It's called Vee Board extension handle or pole.

      I never drove for Western Express but I did drive for Melton. If I was to go back out it would be for Melton hands down. I quit to drive anhydrous ammonia tankers. Ammonia loads will make you nervous for good reason but no tarping.

    Why u use strap protectors on a mulch load ?

    • @Wolfrider750Trucking
      @Wolfrider750Trucking  3 роки тому +1

      Just to give the pallets a more even grip in the center. And it protects the bags not to be damaged by the straps.
