Great project, glad to see the boy working with you in the shop. I also have a 63 C10 and I can honestly say a disc brake conversion up front was the best mod on the truck. looking forward to see her complete.

Brad Johnson Yes the disc brakes conversion was the best thing I done on my red 63 works great, but I’m sticking with all four drums on this blue 63 someone can always upgrade later when I decide to sale it

Been enjoying your videos so far so good. I like how you work on each system and upgrade it as you go. Basically it is still a driver when you assemble everything back together.

Steve, looking good my man. This is the nasty part but is so satisfying when finished. The firewall looks to be in good condition and will clean up awesome. Only a good framer would have massive beams to sit the truck on. Nice touch! I''m enjoying the ride, so thanks for bringing us along!!!! "w.w "

Coming along nice! I installed the same KYB shocks on my 69 C/10 short fleet over the winter and didn't really notice a massive improvement with it.... I have not put many miles on it since though and I think I need to rebuild my front end as it needs it. Those shocks shd be good though KYB usually make a good product. Cheers, Doug

I see you have some help from your son occasionally. Nice to get kids involved. My son has almost grown out of it now, too much going on. lol. They are too young to appreciate taking an old worn out bucket of rust, grime and grease and making it NEW again. Enjoy his involvement while you can. I'm catching up in your vids. Thanks for the great instruction.

Dirty, nasty, work but satisfying when it's all done. Like the way you cleaned up in the process. The measure of a "real craftsman". Now the "fun" begins. Love that tedious, dirty, cleaning. Gotta be done, and correctly, if you want a good end result. Anxious to see how this one transforms. Hope you dress and keep the six. Maybe dual carbs and dual exhaust??

Those ball joint separators can sure put out quite a (tuning fork) ping when you bang them around...for some reason those tones now making me squeamish when they never did before.

Rules about messing around with front ends. The lower ball joint always leave the nut on a few threads.if that spring jumps out there is no place to go I seen a truck jump 3 inches coming off that jack an them back boarded. Its a true lesson to learn in safety. If your going to do it that way put a bar throw the spring at a angle then the sping dose not come out flying
