Nice review! I have the MT520 model, and also the SS-1 drumsticks and also a full set of DP-1 drum pads. Been meaning to get round to making a video with them at some point.
Also agree that the SS-1 sticks require an "interesting" approach to playing because one stick has to trigger two sounds. They're quite responsive though. The DP-1 pads meanwhile make a world of difference. They're pretty much bigger versions of the mini pads on the keyboard, and both are VERY responsive. They're great fun to use.
    Anyway, once again great video!

How strange, I just realised that I watched your entire CZ David vs. Goliath two days ago, because I'm about to buy a CZ-5000 and I really enjoyed that review. Great work right back at you!

@@PixelNotesMusic - I'm glad you enjoyed by CZ review - thank you - and I hope that it helped you decide to get a CZ. They're great synths and still surprisingly flexible and powerful even all these years later.
I think my MT520 and SS-1/ DP-1 review might be some time in the future. I have lots of planned video projects, but I have to decide whether to make shorter and less complexly shot videos than what I have been doing. The longer in depth vides take so long to record and edit together, so maybe I should make shorter less in depth videos with less camera angles and with less content. Or alternate between long/ short videos. Decisions decisions!

Cool video! Keep the format and I can easily see your channel become big in less than year.

I recently bought a Casio MT-500 but before UA-cam I had never seen Casio keyboards like this one. Back in the 90s I started out with a Casio PT-87
and in 1997 my Aunt loaned us a Casio MT-210 until 2004. In the future I also plan to buy the Casio MT-520 which is exactly the same as the
CT-510 but it's smaller. This range of Casio keyboards is a very cheap way of having lofi preset tones and also a lofi drum machine in one unit,
I also have other Yamaha Porta Sound keyboards with digital synthesizer including a Yamaha PSS-470.
It's funny how 20 years ago nobody really seemd bothered about those 80s and early 90s Casio keyboards and people always went
on about how they sound outdated or don't sound good but since UA-cam started there has been more interest in these older Yamaha
    and Casio keyboards.

Absolutely! People have realized that some types of lo-fi sounds really nostalgic and dreamy. :)

Really enjoyed settling into this video, 15 mins is not long.
I got the MT-220 and the sticks back in 87 - I still have the keyboard but am "restoring" it (got as far as taking it apart). Really wish I still had the sticks and it's impossible to find them for sale anywhere.
The instruments, drums and drum patterns are exactly the same as on this one, my favourites being the funky clav, flute, human and the magnificent pipe organ. You should try all of the sounds in different octaves and playing styles, you'll find they each have a sweet spot.

Thank you! You see, I have these short videos with only the demo part and these are long compared to those. I'm still trying to figure out how to best name these to keep things organised. I might name the short ones "demos" and these ones "episodes".
You're right, I should probably play chords throughout the different octaves, how ever playing different styles is something I can't pull off, because my playing is very limited. I play just enough to be able to create music, so I'm far from being a virtuoso instrumentalist. I've always been much more interested in the creating part than the perfecting a craft part (excuses). :)

@@PixelNotesMusic by playing styles I just meant short, long, chords, single notes etc.
Anyway nice work, I'd definitely watch more like this!

These early casios are more organs than they are anything else, that's where the best sounds lie
