The compact yet powerful phones are always my favorites and it's great to see the Galaxy S23 bring the much-needed improvement in performance and battery life compared to the S22. I guess this is the new compact phone to beat. Great review, as always.
This phone puts up a really good fight and I think is worth the buy. It has very good battery life and can seriously compete with it's higher up's.. The Plus and The Ultra.
Tried playing games on my friend’s s23 and the fps is dropping like shit and the phone overheats whiting 15-20 mins . My friend has been using the device for a month and the performance has already started to slow down , it takes time to open heavy applications and opening multiple apps overheats the phone.
@@GGHREKT004 lol just go for other brands if you want a gaming phone. This is a daily usage phone that can do many things better than other phones without focusing primarily on just gaming

Your battery life from day with camera usage was double of what I had on my S22 on power saving mode and loads of features off, I'd say that the battery alone is worth the upgrade!
Didnt watch it all the way through, but want to say i love this style of showing places/foods, the real world with inbetween shots and explanations of the phone itself. It has a much better vibe than just talking about the phone for 15 mins. Great work!
Yea but 120Hz makes a lot of difference in terms of SOT. I use it at 60hz and mine (256Gb) is getting around 6-7 SOT. This phone needed 1hz refresh rate so badly.
i had s22 and in the first couple of days, i noticed that thing would have gotten warm to touch frequently for no reason. i swapped it for s23 and the performance difference and battery was noticeably better, plus s23 doesn't get warm at all.
I love my S23, just traded in my iPhone 12 Pro and I will never go back. I am so impressed with Samsung/Android… best part is all the customization and being able to silence certain notifications but keep others on and at which sound level I want! My husband has the Ultra which is beautiful too, but it is just too big for daily use.
Most people, living in Europe, will buy this S23 because too much frustration for many years with Exynos, plus overall this S23 is nice, small, great hardware and improved battery life 🔋
I love watching your videos, not so much for the phone reviews (that's fun too), but for the tours you do of the cities you are in (and your NY Neighbourhood). Love the little historical and cultural background you give to each of the places.
I've got mine regular S23 green. Was going to buy the iPhone 14, but then I found out that this one was cheaper and I got an upgraded memory of 256GB on a pre-order. The camera is really good. IPhone 14 is slightly still more expensive than s23.

@@goshaminator For sure you'll get 6+ hours if you're gonna use the phone for less demanding tasks unlike mine. Camera is great! Up to par with the flagships. What I noticed tho is that the s23 has better lowlight selfie camera than my friends iPhone 14 (significantly better than the s22) especially if you use the flash. More detail is evident. With regards to video, Iphone is still better but not by much. 👌🏼

Just one tiny correction, I do not own a S23 but I do own a S22 and it can go down to 24hz (I tested this before writing the comment to be sure by going to developer options -> show refresh rate) so I'm sure also the S23 can go down to 24hz!

Initial feedback. Nice video! I do miss the battery bar on the Phone during your usage. As it is now, you cant tell if you are charing it during the Day or not, and if so, how much the battery drains due to your constant 4k filmning. GJ!
The trouble with these kind of video comparisons is that you have 2 moving images next to each other and by the time you've read what lens it's used etc, the scene has already gone on to the next one...At least the photo's you can pause to have a lookt
Really enjoyed the tour around the restaurant and coffee shops. The miniature gallery was fascinating. Camera comparison on the different brands combination phone reviews with dual shot photography moving through the subway is excellent. I really like the attention to detail. Because the haptic on s23 is not good, at least compared to others. You won't see reviewers talking about this weakness since most UA-camrs are paids or at least gaining views from the Samsung fanboy

no matter how much I loved my Pixel 7 Pro (Google environment) I had to return the device 2 times due to screen problems, I am now also very satisfied with the S23, I did not expect it, but it is. Now I'm actually a Galaxy S23 fan-boy 😁

But if you record something on the regular camera app and post in on like tiktok, instagram, whatsapp does the quality then drop alot? I heard a lot of people say that the quality drops. I just switched from Poco X6 Pro to Galaxy S23 as I was getting a very good deal online and even though S23 is a way better smartphone than Poco X6 Pro can ever be, one thing that bothers me a lot is the occasional scrolling lag (not severe though) on One UI. It's probably because I was using a fixed 120hz refresh rate on Poco X6 Pro for a long time whereas the adaptive refresh rate on S23 fluctuates between 60hz to 120hz so the tiny lags/stutters here and there is noticeable for me.
Hello from Italy !!! I follow you for a long time and many times before buying something technological , example smartphone or computer , I watch your videos . I like the way you "tell" your personal experience with the devices you try , besides I really like the fact that you take to discover new places . - That I nostalgically remember when I took intensive language courses in the summer .- Anyway back to us and the Samsung S23 "basic" , sincerely I find it a well-executed product , let's say Samsung is somewhat following Apple's strategy . Improving their models every year , limaning their flaws , problems to arrive at something "new" . But on this round I feel to promote more a pixel 7 , compared to the s23 which is still an excellent smartphone if it were not for a small detail . The price is quite high and honestly the upgrades it received do not justify the expense . S23 ultra on the other hand fits , especially for the same processor that the entire top range of this year is equipped with . But the ultra is another planet , designed more for creators & businessmen , than normal people . In my opinion Pixel 7 -7pro both in 2022 and this 2023 are the ones to be considered , shortly then pixel 7a should also arrive .... So again, my thought 2022/23 on the android range Pixel will stand out in purchase order for many users .
You forgot to mention that the Pixel 7 Pro is huge compared to this phone. The reason people are into the S23 is its small size and mostly uncompromised specs.
I actually switched from the pixel 7pro to the s23 (small one). I couldn't stand how large the 7pro was and I really didn't like the pixel UX experience coming from a s21. The pixel camera is better but my daily use needs are fulfilled better by the s23 than the 7pro.
I have a z flip 4 and also the s23. S23 is much much better in display, performance and cameras. So yes worth upgrading. Z flip has its wow factor and is a great phone too!

Superb camera quality as always! Nothing much change from S22 but there are some noticeable changes in the quality. Will probably wait for S24 or S25 to see major changes
More developers should write apps with DEX in mind. This phone is more powerful than a desktop intel i7 a few years ago and insanely more powerful than all the Macs used to make the film Gladiator. Its so capable and not used - you just get other UA-camrs doing stupid app opining speed "tests"
The S23 gets more addictive every day. Love how I'm able to wrap my whole hand around it. It's very convenient to hold and plenty big enough to see.

The battery in a day with heavy camera usage is almost like the regular battery I get from my FE without all that camera use lol, it's so good

Very nice and snappy Phone. Battery is good. I had 8:30 hour screen on time but after the camera update I get 7 hours. So there is a drain somewhere

my dad just got his base 23 in, and its literally 5-8x faster in opening apps than his exynos s10. loving the 8gen2, good job tsmc and snapdragon lol

For android you have to enable high quality upload settings for IG to upload higher quality videos from the camera.

You forgot to mention that the Pixel 7 Pro is huge compared to this phone. The reason people are into the S23 is its small size and mostly uncompromised specs.

I actually switched from the pixel 7pro to the s23 (small one). I couldn't stand how large the 7pro was and I really didn't like the pixel UX experience coming from a s21. The pixel camera is better but my daily use needs are fulfilled better by the s23 than the 7pro.

Will it be worth upgrading it to s23 from z flip 3. I only suffer on battery life on my z flip 3.
I have a z flip 4 and also the s23. S23 is much much better in display, performance and cameras. So yes worth upgrading.
Z flip has its wow factor and is a great phone too!

Superb camera quality as always! Nothing much change from S22 but there are some noticeable changes in the quality. Will probably wait for S24 or S25 to see major changes

More developers should write apps with DEX in mind. This phone is more powerful than a desktop intel i7 a few years ago and insanely more powerful than all the Macs used to make the film Gladiator. Its so capable and not used - you just get other UA-camrs doing stupid app opining speed "tests"
