Petal's Dental Check 🦷🪥

38-year-old river hippo Petal recently had some dental work done here at your Zoo 🪥
The procedure was a team effort, involving Wildlife Care, Wildlife Health, and external animal dental specialists. Under anaesthesia, Petal had an infected molar extracted.
The procedure went well and this special lady recovered quickly. You can see Petal alongside her sister Perky in their African Savanna habitat 🦛
