    As a general fan of pins that's growing a more substantial collection, +1 ON THE LOGO BACKSTAMPS!!!! I try to keep all my backing cards, but it's at a point where I'll never be able to match them up to the right pins again... The backstamps are a lifesaver for keeping track, giving credit to the artists, and giving recommendations to friends. I hate it when someone asks me where I got a pin, and I have to say "I don't remember" :(

    I really want to start an enamel pin and sticker business, but I'm not an artist. Sure, I can doodle and make drawings, but I'm nothing like your level. I love art as an expression, which is what has been drawing me into wanting to start this type of business, but I totally feel like I'm at a standstill in regards to having the art to create my pins and stickers. 😔 This was a wonderful video! 🤗

      @@Mualcaina I've always wondered how that works 🤔 I sell stickers but they're mostly from designs that the clients send me (usually it's their own business logos and stuff like that) but I've been interested in working with an artist so they can make the drawings but I just don't know how to do it so the pay is also fair for them 🥲

    Unfortunately a lot of vendors (even friends) gatekeep manufacturers. I don’t like how prevalent that is in the artist community. I would love to exchange information with fellow vendor friends, but not everyone is like that.

    Thank you so much for this helpful video! When you recommend trying out multiple manufacturers, how do you recommend testing each one out? Would it be good to test them with the same design to compare or do you suggest trying with similar designs, but not the same one? I would love to test them all with the same design, but I'd imagine that would leave me with lots of multiples.

    Wait, I’m confused. As far as I know, illustrator still has Pantone in the color library. It’s still is on my iPad, and pretty sure it is on my computer as well, as I work with it on a near daily basis.
    However, it will not give you a clear representation of how the colors will look when they come out, seeing that the screen might not be calibrated properly, so it is wisest to have the booklet.

      It's not illegal to sell art of copyrighted properties. However the owner of the copyright has the right to sue or send a cease and desist letter. If you sell at art markets if a representative of the copyrighted property is there they could come up and ask you not to sell your product. Generally with small artists or artist alleys it's bad pr so they don't sue but it's a possibility. It's a good idea to include your own original works as well.

    • @bimates2690
      @bimates2690 Рік тому +3

      According to another comment(s) from another video: the answer is no, if they're fan made for fans but you can't sell them wholesale. Then you'll run into issues.
      But then someone else also said it is illegal.
      So, I'm gonna assume it is technically illegal if you dont get permission from the original creators, even if fan made since it is their characters, but they won't necessarily go after you due to exposure. You're sharing their creations through your works, thus more people finding and sharing it. Because if that was the case, tons of fan made mangas and similar fan made stuff would've been put in hot water.

    • @LPSDesires

    • @PronounsAreHerMajesty
      @PronounsAreHerMajesty Місяць тому

      You can Google that. It costs over $50 per copyright, so the best way to go is to batch copyright your art to save money but you have to wait until you’re comfortable with the price of the copyright for the number of pieces of art covered. The same copyright will cover each piece of art individually. Good luck!
