That happend to me in a way i ussed mods and got flagged but suport later un flagged me later thanks for the monkey god‘s having mercy
i'm probably flagged since i have like 15 mods on my account at all times
If you want to avoid shadow banning make another account for mods. Please don't use mods on your main account, you're putting it at big risk if you use mods there

I discovered that you won't actually get flagged by using mods the only mods that get you flagged are hack mods like infinite money or infinite monkey knowledge etc. But I still recommend that you make an alt because it might break your game or maybe you downloaded a hack mod without realizing (especially if you like really broken mods)
Edit: I think you can also get flagged by using mods wrongly (to get an advantage in the game)
I get flagged because i use a mod y to get all the towers fast (i lost my first acount and i was so frustrated and i do that, and tbh, i just play on mobile and is truly rare i play a cooperative run so... Yeah... It doesnt matter so much.

If you think this is even mildly fair, think of the punishment vs the evidence vs the accuracy of them banning users. I literally broke data on my save tinkering with literal cheatengine ram-editor trying to find mod data variables (reverse engineering something not already done), and have an unrealistic and even negative number of instamonkeys and game statistics... And at the very least by this method of checking, I'm not shadowbanned.
Not that I'd ever use public matchmaking anyway, if they aren't in a discord call they ain't playing with me LMAO.

Modding is relatively new to BTD 6 and it's something we've been discussing recently.We actually think it's a fun thing for the community to do, and as long as it's not harmful or negative to the rest of the community or giving you an unfair advantage in a public match (i.e. you're only playing private matches), we're happy for players to do it! Our anti-hacking system will most likely flag you, however, so please create a new account and keep it for modding purposes only.
I can roll the data back to before this happened. However, you would lose any other progress you've made since. Did you want me to go ahead? :)

@@woopyboi , nah, just intentionally use discord to matchmake. I wouldn't matchmake outside of a discord call tbh.
Note: If you're flagged but you've never used mods or hacks, you can contact support! They're usually willing to fix it, from my experience, since the system isn't perfect.
Luckily this only applies to the game you were flagged in, so, for example, you can have infinite monkey money in BTD6 but not be hacker-pooled in BTDB.

Mods are super fun, once I got into them I couldn't stop
Obviously, don’t enter comp or even co-op modes with mods, ninja kiwi seems fine and supporting when it comes to the modding scene, but it seems you have to tread really carefully. ONLY use mods in single player modes.
ive done that, played vanilla in co-op and im shadow banned
NINJA KIWI are assholes and shadow-ban your account even if you NEVER go into multiplayer anyways but they "support the modding scene" IF THEY SUPPORTED IT, STOP BANNIN PEOPLE IN OFFLINE MODES BRO. Obviously if they supported mods your account wont instantly be flagged for modding at all, singleplayer or not.

I was for a really long time, found out I had the leaves on my settings button. I contacted customer support and the unflagged me, and gave me 2,500 monkey money for my trouble. Seriously the best customer support I've ever seen for a video game.

you can actually play co-op if you have a flagged account, you just have to create the room first
I was flagged because I was in a game with hackers and I was giving the money they sent to me back to them, causing the cheat detector to think I had that money through cheating. I did get it removed by NK though

I think I know why I got Shadow Banned. I backed up my data while all of my mods were active, and when I got my data on my phone, I saw the leaves on the settings icon, meaning I was flagged.

Thanks for the info, we were banned for copying the file to another computer. Fixed it by signing out - can only play 'unbanned' signed out now.

When shadowbanned it is possible to be Un shadow banned. The way is pretty easy. You must un install all OP mods and beg ninja kiwi

I’m flagged because I have an illegal deflation save. A few years ago there was this infinite money glitch where lacing a tower on frozen water then selling the ice monkey would sell the tower on the water for double what it was supposed to sell for, allowing you to generate infinite money. So I have a deflation run on round 268 with a vtsg. Means I can’t compete in races anymore but it’s worth it because it’s still my favorite btd6 save I have.
That is kinda wierd since Ive not gotten banned on my favourite account despite using an exploit on an advanced challange where I just played until round 3000
