  • Part 10 - Generator Install and Gearbox Strip Down
Follow the total restoration of a basket case WW2 1941 Zundapp KS600 WH German Wehrmacht military motorcycle. The engine is a 600cc air head boxer twin, OHV, similar to the BMW airhead. Over the next 18 months, I'll rebuild the whole motorcycle including all the trials and tribulations that we all have, like stuck nuts! .....then go for a ride. (I hope)

Thanks. You should make a video of your R12. I've been after an R12 for a while but they are not common in England hey.

Your bike had been to the USSR before it came to you!))

Yes; went from USSR to London in the 1980s then sat in a shed until 2017. That engine was in a K800 numbered frame.

Generally for people working on bikes we do call it a stretched or worn chain though the word stretched is not meant in a literal sense, try not to be to clever to put it politely it can come across as trying to teach people how to suck eggs I have been watching your series it is good but not all done in the usual way I was once told many years ago there is always someone that knows a little more than you do.

You'd be surprised how many people consider that a stretched chain is physically longer due to load. Hardly being arrogant, just trying to help...still clearly not appreciated.
