I'm new to the percussive 'stumming', I'm I'm having trouble figuring out how to play the 2nd beat of the 25th measure. Am I suppose to mute the 1st and 2nd string with my fretting hand when I strum it because I don't see how I could accurately strum the note without hitting the top strings.
You don't really mute the 1st string, just do the percussive with the thumb on the 2nd string and your finger will mute (more or less) the 1st string

Hey man im tryna learn this now and i was just wondering if when u hit the bass note with ur thumb and flick the higher strings were you being super accurate, letting everything ring or muting i cant figure it out
Heya ! I don't really mute the bass note, my finger does it whenever I hit the bass strings. I think someone asked me that in the comment as well, i don't know if it was your question but that was the answer :

And I do let everything else ring, since we are at the bottom of the neck, the tension is higher so if you let ring your strings they wont ring for as long as if you were doing with without a capo

salut pour le tuning tu change l,accordage des corde F A C G C D et apres tu met le capo en 9 ? ou juste le capo en 9 suffit parce que moi sa sonne pas super bien avec le capo en 9

@@jeremwtl531 salut j'aimerais savoir comment tu fais pour t'accorder comme cela ? qu'elles sont les cordes à monter ou descendre et de combien ?

Pour ta première corde de basse, tu montes de 1 ton (E à F) pour ta 2eme corde de basse tu baisses de 2 tons (G tu descends à A# et ensuite A), pour ta 3eme pareil, 2 tons (D tu descends à C# puis C), la 4eme cordes ne bouge pas c'est toujours G, la 5eme tu montes de 1 ton (B à C) et pour ta dernière tu descends de 2 tons (E tu passes à D# puis D) et ensuite tu mets le capo à la 9eme fret. Fais attention quand tu utilises cet accordage, certaines guitare ne supporte pas la tension si tu montes radicalement ta première corde en F et du coup tu peux casser ta corde. Je te conseil de commencer par les cordes que tu dois baisser de tonalité en premier, comme ça tu as moins de pression et quand tu dois monter celle à monter. Donc commence par baisser la 2eme,3eme et 6eme et en suite tu montes petit tout doucement ta 1ere et 5eme.
