He is, he always has been, and always will be the greatest singing impersonator that has ever lived. And a more humble gentleman you will never find. A voice so pure it melts you every time you hear him regardless of what he sings or who he sings.
Absolutely. I consider Joe Longthorne a gift from heaven.Truly beautiful human being,much loved and very gifted in life.May he rest in peace.

Joe was amazing. I took my mum to see him several times in Blackpool. She loved him. We lost mum last year and now at least she can hear him sing in heaven. miss you mum and RIP Joe xxx

I never heard a better impersonator, often people can be good at one or two voices but Joe was brilliant at so many, he was also a great singer in his own right. Thank goodness material like this lives on for us to continue to enjoy.

I went to Melbourne he was starring at the Crown Casino. My good lady (a kiwi) lived there and had never heard of him. I took her to the show I think about 2002 and she was amazed. Probably one of the most talented hard working singers I have ever seen what a legend. RIP Joe!

My mum and her friend followed mr joe longthorne all over the place Blackpool etc they loved him now my mum died just over 4 years ago god bless her then joe died god bless now my mum and joe are together in heaven r.i.p both of you xxx
I saw Joe in viva Blackpool around 4 years ago.. And he knew certain people from the crowd and took time to speak to them. I wonder if your mum was one of them.. I feel privileged to of seen him live.

Glad i got to see Joe live. Remarkable talent.
Each time I see Joe perform, I was made clear he loved doing this. He delighted in entertaining us! It is important to realize to do these impressions he must first be a gifted singer as a starting point! He was a magnificent singer in his own right. His vocal control was uncanny and being able to master his beathing and vocal muscles to sing just like the singers he was impersonating is to this day a miracle of sorts. His passing is such a loss to the entertainment world he has left a very large void not likely to be filled.

R.I.P Joe...forgot how good he was..the Neil Diamond was superb.
He could’ve been a global star but he ended up mixing with a not so nice crowd and it knocked his career back. However, he still had an amazing career. I saw him twice and he was just amazing. Very sad

A great singing voice is one thing, but being able to impersonate other legendary singers so well is something else.
RIP Joe, RIP Des. These are the entertainers we grew up with, sadly not many of them left now.
Lovely man - got to meet him once many years ago. Fabulous entertainer. So sad he is no longer with us.

Now there's no denying the guy has a unique gift. One you can't find under the Christmas tree! Absolutely brilliant performance. Doing one powerful singer is difficult to master but doing two in one song is genius. A great voice. And I think ol' Des should be still doing his prime time show. There's talent out there, performing in the theatres who just don't get the exposure they deserve.

I grew up watching this man's shows , I'm 49 now
And few years or so back had the pleasure of seeing him perform in clacton on sea ,the princess theatre and what a great show it was , not only was he a nice man ,he had amazing talent and a stunning voice ,
And his shows I still enjoy to watch on you tube to this day
