You guys should go to the coast in Washington with the metal detector. Start at Longbeach Wa then head south over Astoria bridge drive 101 and check out the Oregon beach
We do want to visit Astoria, but it'll have to be a separate trip.
Definitely better cold than hot! I hate sweating! Last week there were 3 nights in Michigan in the 40s

I was just telling my husband that we need to check out Greer, AZ soon. I love history and cool weather just like you. Thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us. Hey Amanda I know tnis is random but I'd love to know your thoughts on Harvest hosts. They say you must be self contained but can't be in a car or minivan?! I feel miffed. Sorry for the rant!
They have changed their rules. That was my complaint last year when I canceled my membership. About 6 months ago they sent me an email that said they now except minivans.

We at Harvest Hosts are on a mission to make happier campers and communities through travel while also supporting small businesses along the way. You have asked, and we are over the moon excited to let you know that we have listened! Membership is now open to all Camper vans including cargo and mini, as long as they are in good working condition and self-contained. This means you carry and collect your own water, you have your own charging supply, and you need no facilities from a host location.
If you can answer, yes, to these questions you are all set.
Do I have a bed?
Do I have a water supply with the ability to run my own fresh water, while collecting my gray water?
Do I have a power source? I do not need an electric hook-up from my host.
Do I have my own potty, which contains waste until I can visit a dump station?

Is my mini-van in good working condition, with no fluid leaks, and well-maintained?
As always there is no outdoor cooking at a location. If needed, we recommend a lighter fare for the evening, dining at the host location, or grabbing a meal before arrival.

That was scads of fun! I watched Aussie Man's vid too. That was great! I am a real history and geography nut myself. I think that's why I bought the big rig. I love maps and I wanted to go and see all of America! I ended up seeing all of North America! You guys will have great fun in Montana‼️

Hello Amanda and Winston how are y'all doing, I have a question for you. which place is better Laposa south or which one I'm coming out there to Quartzite this year in October and want to know. I've never been out there, I've watched some videos about Quartzite but well I'm still not sure which is the better place to go to. love your videos thank you for sharing them. have a great day y'all.
I'm personally not a fan of the LTVAs. I stay on the BLM land. :) LTVAs have dumpsters, water, and vault toilets, but they are way too crowded for me.
