Thank you!!! I love the green pen markings… the ease allowance on princess to side seam mention… the explanation of the 1” and 1/2” arm hole drop and re draw of arm hole… I now feel my attempts and successes with designing and sewing mostly costumes for dance using 4 and 2-way stretch fabrics and satins for sleeves and pants allowed for any amateur mistakes that could happen. 😛 The small nuances that you demonstrated give me more confidence with woven fabrics! I once again thank you! Now that I understand these small adjustments, making any design changes will be much easier to navigate! 🥳 You are so inspiring!!! ps… I’m really interested in folds and intermittent darting on the outside of the designs… but not today… so much more to learn! 💙✨

So helpful, and very clear at every step, thank you! I would love to see a video of a non-fitted draping...like a trapeze dress or something with added volume. :)
Hello 🙂 Thank you soo much for the tutorial.....I am a student in college taking a draping class and the class sometimes goes fast so its nice to have these tutorials to help me 😁
Dear Susan, thank you so much for your channel! I love watching you draping. You explain perfect! As you are the basic source of information on sewing for me, I would like to hear your comments on the next question. (I know, you have said a lot about dress forms already, but still...) how to make right sloper for a dress form that fits my figure? What if somebody would want to make a new dress form out of an old one that wouldn’t fit. The new dress form that could be an ideal form just for the person. What to pay attention on? There shouldn’t be ease added, should there? How good to true the pattern after draping? You are very experienced working with mannequins. Please make a video on how to adjust the draping on a real body. And how to develop a good pattern for a dress form. Thank you! Your loving watcher
Thank you as always Susan!...would you mind sharing the BRAND name of your tools? Looking online and would like to be consistent with industry tools as you are...:)
9:35 mins, you suggested notches above/below apex, how many inches?..is this a firm rule, number of inches or does it change according to your drape/design?...:)
Hi DT, Yes it's important to put markings at the Apex (center point of the bust) and around 2" above that marking and 2" below that marking on both sides in order to adjust the curve area with ease. That might vary in different styles. please join me on this Sunday, Nov 24 4pm eastern time. I will be going LIVE on UA-cam...You may ask a question during that time:))).
Hi Susan U make this Sew EZ ....Wonderful Tutorial 😉...I Do have some questions if I mayyyy. At time Laps 9:31 you talked about the CROSS MARKINGS above & Bellow the Bust(Apex) Q-1: by How much do We make the marks above & bellow? Q-2: What kind of PINS do U use? Is there a particular Size or Type(there's see many to choose from.😣😣 Thank-U again for taking your time in Explaining All the Steps in Detail and Wording every step-by-step to make it not only VISUAL but Understanding EXACTLY were to place all the MARKINGS for That PERFECT FIT! 😘😘😀😀 TFS God Bless :o)
amzn.to/2IULG7S These are the pins I use. The mark is just a + like that. The other marks are just dots from your pencil or pen.
