Fabulous, I am saving all these to pass to a production house I do work with; they've always wanted to do VR stuff but it's new to them. Thanks! Also love a casual Naysy driveby.
You are amazing, you were my first teacher, when I set up my own small studiovr. Thank you so much you are the most influential person for the rest of my life.
Hi, Touge. These Masterclasses have been extremely helpful in my work. Looking forward to whatever you have coming down the pike at LIV. For now, two quick questions: 1) If I wanted to do away with the green screen and use an LED screen/wall as a backdrop...while still using LIV as a plugin for our Unity interactive builds...can I run a feed from the upper left quadrant of the LIV Dump Mode to an external LED screen via OBS or other method? I'm thinking that kind of setup would allow me to eliminate issues with keying and potentially add realism from the practical lighting an LED screen could provide. Or, does the entire premise of the LIV plugin REQUIRE green screen capture to provide background, foreground and alpha of the foreground? 2) We have just been using a 3840 x 1080, dual screen OBS capture with LIV composited view in one screen and VR Headset view in the other screen. If we move to the full Dump Mode methodology, we will still need to simultaneously capture headset view along with the 4K quad screen of the Dump Mode. Do you have any recommendations of best methodology for accomplishing that? Can Liv Dump Mode somehow be configured to provide background, foreground, alpha for foreground and headset (instead of full composit)? If not, is there a way to set up a template within one instance of OBS to capture all 5 screens, or should I consider two instances of OBS...one for the headset view and one for the Dump Mode? Thanks in advance for any advice.
How about scripts? It's cool to use scripts to rotate! Does the blogger use an HTC 2.0 base station? The 1.0 positioning base station I use sometimes makes the positioning of my locator inaccurate, leading to drift😅
Depends on your objective I think. If you’re trying to go down the path of a moving camera and complex vfx, then yeah it will be super shitty. But for regular LIV content with a fixed camera it can still look amazing with that setup.
Hello Touge! I appreciate all the work you have put in to this Mixed Reality Masterclass! Honestly well done! I have watched all 4 episodes. I have one quetion though: Why cant I use Liv for every steam VR game? I actually like to do mixed reality filming in Half Life Alyx and also in Steam Home enviroment. Is there any way that I can do it at all?
The mobile hybrid reality video is too difficult to shoot. Today, after shooting for a whole day, it didn't produce any good results. It's going to collapse😢
15:16 still waiting =(

Also love a casual Naysy driveby.
You're welcome!
Naysy is in a lot of the behind the scenes stuff I've captured in the last couple years, since we've done so many vids here.
You are amazing, you were my first teacher, when I set up my own small studiovr. Thank you so much you are the most influential person for the rest of my life.
You're very welcome :)

Aye, glad to see you are still at it! I just moved into a HUGE warehouse myself and getting set up for a pro studio finally :)
Great video, can't wait for the post-production one too! I've been wondering how to use dump-mode for some time now. Looking forward to trying it out!
Out tonight! (9 hours or so)
awesome video! we've been curious about dump view for a long time, so this was super helpful ❤
Hopefully the editing stuff next week will fill in the blanks

Let's gooo
I expect most clients want the hero headset to be a Quest. Have you developed a best practice workflow for working in mixed tracking environments?
Yes, in episode 5 (SoonTM)
I would really like a video teaching how to use "Rotato Express", I don't know how to use it.
=/
Amazing work, we would love your input on our mixed reality live stream we are developing. 😊

I use 4 Lighthouse 2.0s
@@TougeVR How to import and produce the rotation script of rhythm lightsaber? Help
@@TougeVR The script imports beats saber, but it is not displayed in the game🎃
@@TougeVR 成功啦!这是我首个个人拍摄的mr移动视频,感谢,期待第四集;还有个问题,第三季中beats saber的 移动mod一直没安装成功,有教学嘛……
So working with a webcam and without a 4k monitor the results will be super shitty?

@@TougeVR thanks. I'll give it a go regardless and see how it comes out. Thanks for the help
Although I can't understand what you are saying, I still watch it

Will this work with my snapdragon cpu?
Not like this, no. There is a LIV Android app in beta, available in the LIV Discord. But set expectations accordingly.
@@TougeVR and it will run on my 486?. Jokes aside... The BeatSaber update always the longest thing to fix ;)
