    I've been using your recipe for a couple years now. This is the only recipe I know of where I follow it exactly every single time. This is the best birria recipe ever!!! I tried a different recipe once because I was lazy and and didn't want to spend the time to do it right. That was a big mistake!!! Also, whenever I ask the kids what they want me to make on the weekends, it's your recipe. In fact I'm prepping right now. Thanks again!

    I just made this (without the bones because I’m lazy 🥴) and my family went crazy over it. I did make some slight changes. Instead of only seasoning the sauce and the broth i cut my steak into pieces as well as my onion and garlic, put in a bag and marinated with all the ground seasonings used to make the sauce. I followed the rest of the directions exactly. So good. Took all day lol but definitely worth it

You can use a molcajete and mash the cooed Chiles and chunky spices. It will take a long time thought. Then you would have to add water or broth to it so you can strain on into the pot. Hello, how many cups broth should be in the beef broth? In total, how many cups of consommé were made at the end using the meat amount and seasonings, herbs, spices? Is ancho Chile, the next chile above Guajillo for a
    Light spice? I like the blend of guajillo and California chile, as it’s barely spicy. Please reply as I’d love asap using a 6.5 crockpot. Can’t wait 🙏

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett
      @LaCocinaDeJannett  3 роки тому

      I don’t measure the amount of consomé after making this dish. I’d say maybe 8-10 cups. Guajiro, Chile ancho and Padilla is what i use. If you’re looking fir more spice you can add a couple of Chiles de árbol

    • @DragonFruitDelish1
      @DragonFruitDelish1 3 роки тому

      Hi thanks for reply. As for the chili pepper spiciest, what do you suggest that’s one level spicy from guajillo? I’m taking baby steps on spicy level and unfamiliar with Mexican or Latin chili peppers.m

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett
      @LaCocinaDeJannett  2 роки тому +1

      Yes you’ll need to double maybe even triple your sauce…more meat means more water so you don’t wanna loose the flavors of your sauce. I say triple your sauce and you should be fine 😉

    So you can use the ramen packages then leave out the pouches of seasoning!!!

    • @LaCocinaDeJannett
      @LaCocinaDeJannett  4 роки тому +1

      Allen Cleta EXACTLY!!! So the seasoning packs have tons of salt...so adding the seasoned broth w the season pack is just a bit too salty together. So leave out the seasoning pack, the broth is already fully seasoned and perfect to flavor the ramen w nothing extra 😉

    Nice recipe like traditional version of birria served in many decent taco 🌮 joints in L.A. seasoning and consomme itself look delish and mouthwatering unfortunatelt I am not fan of goat meat that I cant really tolerate its odor and smell that can remind me of cooking menudo in Mexican house during the weekend... ya know menudo can become quite smelly and stinky if its not cooked and handled correctly. quick question, is it ok to substitute goat meat to veal meat and Beef instead???????
