Thanks for your awesome videos and your hilarious sense of humour!! They're so well structured and they are not tiring at all. A huge hug from Barcelona!
Thank you so much for these videos! I thoroughly enjoyed them! Very informative and the illustrations are hilarious! I've always wanted to learn a little more about ticks and your videos were perfect! Clarified myths which I will now gladly and confidently shoot down. Thanks again!
I'm from Connecticut and grew up when the disease was first identified (Lyme disease is named for Lyme, CT). Long pants tucked into socks and bug spray really go a long way, and then just tick checks. Constant tick checks. lol
i’m a hiker and i’ve had like 4 ticks on me this year, shaving my legs was surprisingly effective in preventing ticks. i’m also a woman though and i know most men aren’t as open to that idea.
I understood everything... Thankyou for the jokes and the easy explanations❤ I'm now aware of the ticks thanks to you. You have great videos with great entertainment... Keep doing videos ❤❤
Do you remember if dr Kathryn reif said anything about a gluten free diet or giving up on sweets is helping with recovery after beeing infected and having 21 days of antibiotic? I do suffer with post treatment lyme, and don't know what to do ,thank you
went fishing today and found like 8 on me i was freaked out but your videos made me feel better theyre fucken hilarious😂 and taught me alot thanks for the information
Ticks can also be enslaved to deliver medicine to patients. Bloated are often better to treat them than other forms(since the bloated females can be more sluggish because of their blood meal). To enslave a tick, you need to capture them(often without them feeding on you if you can),with a light movable rug(which represents an animal passing by)with a string for you to drag it around. And then pick up the ticks(with tweezers) and put them in a jar, and gruesomely give yourself a blood draw to feed them, And then you put your stored blood under the mini rug(to allow them to feed artificially). And make sure you let the blood flow in a river like pattern (ticks and many other blood sucking animals, actually feed more efficiently if the blood is flowing, then otherwise actively sucking blood which can take more energy to do). Scientists have already figured that capturing ticks for research process already, And we can do this to genetically modify them to stop transmitting diseases(including Lyme disease), Or inject hyper parasites(mainly viruses such as bacteriophages)that kill those pathogens(this process does not work for viral diseases, but it very effective against bacteria) that the ticks transmit. And even genetically modify them to produce medicines that cure dangerous diseases(including cancer). or transmit synthetic modified organisms(such as bacteria that are hacked into fighting cancer)to eliminate them. And this is just one of my(Ryan VD) ideas for how to use blood sucking into doing something useful for us.
I know this is a really old vid, but my favourite method of disposing of ticks is to just feed them to my pitcher plant! Boom, no nutrients wasted.
