Hey country people, it great to see some Canadians out there. We are hoping to come down for a few months April (but we are told that its the rainy season) so we are still making plans. We are a family of 4 (includes a 5y/o) and wondering if it makes sense to rent an airbnb in Nairobi as a base and then spend those months hoping up and down attractions or just make 3-4 day trips and a hotel in between? What is the real Covid situation out there? Hoping you're well. P.s. My wife is consuming your videos for breakfast, dinner and in between.
You are really show casing my country Kenya 🇰🇪. Y'all deservean award CS for Tourism, Kenya 🇰🇪 @ Najib Balala, you need to hear about this wonderful couple 😍
*Kenyan salt water lakes are all found at the rift valley:* Lake Nakuru Lake Bogoria Lake Elementaita Lake Magadi Lake Turkana *Fresh water lakes:* Lake Naivasha(rift valley) Lake Baringo (rift valley) Lake Victoria And all lakes on mount kenya are fresh too. 😅Your welcome👍🏾
Lake Nakuru is not a salt water Lake bana. I literally live 10minutes away from the Lake, we get fish from the Lakeside fishermen all yhe time. A fresh water commercial fish pond burst at the beginning of 2020 and most of the fish ended up in Lake Nakuru. They are doing very well btw
@@theelephant5974 c it is the one with flamingoes ama🤔? I thought flamingos live in salty water bodies. Also aren't there fish that do well in salty water 👀🧠
Grew up few kms from the lake, I have literary grown up watching the lake, and the flooding was just the saddest phenomena to occur, covered massive land of beautiful land
i do contract service for cooling and heating equipments at the cliff and i must say that every time i come here am wowed even tho am at work ,nice vid
Nice to see you guys back in Africa. After being there in 2012 its amazing to see how much of the Lake area has flooded. But beautiful place to stay in those tents. Will definitely be back there one day. Can you tell me how do you choose the music clips for your videos they fit so well and where do you get them from. Love your work guys keep it up and thank you.
I have lived in the Nakuru area for years and I haven't been to that lodge. It is a beautiful place and I hope I will visit it at some point. I love your videos. It is good to see Westerners show positive images from Africa and not what is the norm for the Western main stream media that makes Africa look like the home of the "Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse"! Keep up the good work.
Hi Dave and Tracy, this is very beautiful. Try another hotel in Chogoria called Silver Montana. It's next to Mt Kenya forest. The hotel is superb. And you can drive through the forest
Magical 🇰🇪🇰🇪. The flamingoes give Lake Nakuru a unique vibe. Lord Egerton Castle is a great place to visit to.It is in Njoro a short drive from Nakuru Town. Lord Egerton built a castle for a woman who rejected it and him..
Another fantastic Saturday dose. I had missed the Kenyan safaris and gate aways. The Rift Valley lakes are some gems. Hope you explore others like Lake Bogoria with plenty of pink flamingos and geysers (hot water springs) and get to boil eggs in them.
I just love you Mani's since I discovered this channel two days ago I've watched so many videos of your safari and love everything about them love this more Nakuru being my home town... Welcome and visit Nakuru more often
When the food is good, nothing else matters .@Trace we dint hear that right.i love the videos always dave that swimming short is amaizing welcome back i had missed your vlogs
Nakuru, the crossroad of Kenya's diversity! You should visit again when the lake is nearly carpet-pink with flamingos. They migrate to breed then flock back to feed the chicks on algae in the alkaline waters
Thanks for the vlog. 👍 👏🏻 Music 🎵 👍. Successful Land and Water Safari 👍. The various food dishes and desserts looked delicious. 😋 Did you replace the driver-side window later on? Was the return trip twice as long due to the dust? Perfect sunrise 🌄. Have a good night and weekend. Stay safe and healthy.
Lake Nakuru is one of the lakes within the Great Rift Valley. With exception of Lake Naivasha and a few others, most of the lakes found within the Great Rift Valley are salty. You should check out the remaining ones, especially Lake Bogoria, Lake Turkana, Lake Elementaita, and Lake Logipi. All these will make epic destinations for your travel within the valley.
Great content as always... Keep up the good job.. I'm definitely going to the Cliff on my next trip.. Lake nakuru & naivasha water levels rising are due to the climate change as well as the shift /movement of the earth's plates... Let's hope in a few yrs the resorts near the lake won't be affected because that would be bad for business..
I forgot to mention that lake bogoria & baringo are experiencing the same issue... And may merge pretty soon.. What's really sad is that people have been displaced due to this issue.. Cnt really compete with mother nature.. Can we?
Lake Nakuru like most lakes in the rift valley are quickly getting bigger and submerging homes near the shores. Did you notice that.. even the wildlife office has been submerged.

Woooow it's so beautiful ❤️❤️I just love Dave Mani
wow thank you!! :)
Fun fact (to Dave & Tracy): Naivasha is the only fresh water lake in the riftvalley . All the other lakes are salt water.
Cool I dis not know that. 😅
I prefer the name alkaline lakes. Salty water reserve for the oceans and the seas.
Lake Baringo and Lake Olborosat are other freshwater lakes in the Rift Valley.
Lake Nakuru isn't salty at all. We eat fresh water fish everyday bro
@@theelephant5974 google is your friend. It’s salty!!

If we (Kenya) do couple of things to do with infrastructure which we're actually doing right now we can be the best on earth right?
Kenya has for sure A LOT of potential especially in the tourism industry! 👍🏼🇰🇪
