God bless your patience
I hear there is a course adam can do I think it’s a place called ARTISAN or sumthin 😂😂 don’t waste ur good £ on old rope regurgitated from info available for free
Congratulations to Adam! And congrats to you too Nick: lots of us have commented ever since Adam started what a fab teacher / mentor you are. Well done both of you.
Great to have you on board Nick. Looking forward to visiting you soon to empty your bin and playing a game of ‘Guess the weight’ for prizes/forfeits. All part of the service…
Nick, please continue to call other trades out for their bad work 👍. Its infuriating that they do work they shouldn't be and then denie it. As for the pendant you had to correct, I would have 100% charged the customer and explained they would need to claim their money back from the plasterer. If the plasterer gets away with it, then he/she wil just continue to do it. We are living in a society where there is no accountability and that has to stop!
Absolutely onboard with this, we have taken so much work back in house for this exact reason.
100% agree with this call them. Out there only complaining cus they have been called out
Great vid Nick. Don't understand people getting the hump when you call out legitimate issues.
It's not 'slagging off', it's content. If you have a job that is mundane, without faults, that's not going to make watchable content. Jobs like this are more complicated, more intriguing and actually showcases your skills better than a simple install.
If there is obviously bad work, simply pointing a camera at it would be viewed as 'slagging off' by those commenters.
I have interview footage of the electrical engineer who designed and subcontracted that installation and the CU. they’re renowned around the uk for sub par systems and maintenance.
The builders work as mentioned here is probably the same as his electrical! I'm always amazed when we come to employ someone and there lack of knowledge and ability to complete work and even with people with the qualifications. Word of mouth and actually seeing them doing the work is what's needed or like Nick and Adam putting themselves on camera, well done boys.
Well done Adam👏
That polystyrene ball insulation is horrible. They eat the cable insulation over time and cause issues eventually
Nick your doing a good thing calling out the cowboys, keep it up and your videos are great👍
Big congrats to Adam, It’s never easy having to sort out other people work And especially if they not qualified electrician, Great to give us an insight on this , Nice job Guys ⚡️👊
He is qualified now.
I’ve used green cable for a while. They are brilliant. The price is usually very competitive with the local yard. Minus the hours and hassle of driving to the tip.
Well done to Adam.. Through your tutalege he has grown from a shy young apprentice, into a confident
young man and a competent Electrician. Wish him all the best for his future business. What now Nick?
are you going to take on another apprentice? Maybe Ben?
Yeah keep grassing up those dirty builders and plasterers, we love it 😁 And well done Adam, break free asap lol
Wow! Nick, that fuse board it looked a mess ,that is the job of your builder"electrician" you done a good neat job sorting out that mess. Well done Adam passing your exam, Nick has been a good teacher to Adam good on you. Take care boy's see you on the next video 😃😃🪛🪛💡💡👍👍👍
Well done adam 🎉
Ref QR code for AFDD light decode..... Crabtree AFDD gives you a sticker to put on the lid with all the same info..... low tech and instant 👍. Well done Adam!
well done adam hard work getting a where you are now and nick for training you along the way.
Being in the states if a consumer unit is going to be surrounded by timber like this example I have suggested to use cement board all around it sides back and top to act as a fire stop
Well done Adam, I also passed my am2s as an adult trainee with distinction and have just started my own business along side my full time employment.
Get ready for the 18hr days 😴
Stick in lad!
Good to see you supporting Adam
Hate when people use and abuse an apprentice
"Solar" could be used as a grouping term for "PV" (Photovoltaic) or "STE" (Solar Thermal Energy)
Though, of course, as an electrician, Solar would generally ONLY refer to PV, but, not to everyone else..
These builders doing their own work, how do the offer certs? Or do they just not give them to customers?
You'd be surprised by the amount of builders who've ask me to sign off electrics and gas.
I'm sure some of the half arsed gas engineers and electricians out there are probably willing to do it too.
The cheeky sods, it's not worth the bother.
@@rayc1503 it’s always baffled me, don’t know how they sleep at night 😂
Nice one boys, green cable bin is a great idea, need it to come south
Of course Adam (well done on AM2 distinction BTW) protected the RCD switch below from swarf while drilling that hole?
Hi Nick /Adam got the green cable bin hopefully they are picking up next week
I’m in Newcastle under Lyme not far from junction 15
Well done Adam fantastic achievement 🎉
Magnificent job, lads. Congratulation Adam.
there are a few cable recyclers around the country doing the same thing as your local its a simple internet search and a good idea
Yet another Brilliant Video, Carry on Telling It Like it is - BTW any news on the Sleeving Dispencer Yet ? - Well Done Adam.
Congrats Adam you learnt from a great mentor 😎
Absolutely 🙌🙌
Can you really call "watching every Artisan video" a great mentor?
Class 2 light fitting: All live parts are double insulated, including the connections
Cable ties look fine. If you ever user them on network cable tho i will have to whip you with a car antenna.
Why is the new way back entry with 2 big holes in the board and a board spaced off the wall... Over sized holes in dbs was the reason we moved back to metal. Just seems looks over better practice
Nick said there is more to go in it... he usually uses intumescent sealer
Nice and neat mate, very informative to the unitiated
Congratulations Adam for AM2.
Very nice job Nick and I think the customer got an excellent deal from you.
Congratulations Ad! So well done!
I actually use greencable too! They're great tbh but I'm one of your favourite trades, plumber ;)
Gross
@@NBundyElectrical Buy a brush ;)
@@killerbean9911 have a shower 😉
@@NBundyElectrical At least I can install a shower ;)
haha
Well done adam, keep up the good work, always remember every day is a school day, what ever age you are!
Someone's been messing with those electrics when they should'nt be at leat the customer had the sense to boot them off site.when I re did my board used the bronther label printer with heat shrink tube to identify the circuits obviously not practical all the time but if time or the apprentice is free why not, makes is easier for the next guy if work needs doing.
Board was labeled on the front as well.
I’d love to see a full video of you using the chipmunk voice 🤣🙌🏻
bro that wheelie bin is a fracture of what I had to scrap. I needed a half a ton to take about three times. poor little Peugeot partner...
Massive congratulations to Adam
Would that cavity behind the trunking have to be filled. For fire protection.
Well done Adam - Hope your taking out Nick for meal or drink as a thank him
I’ll pass the message on 👍
Congrats Adam. Nick you must be so proud...😂
Hi Nick, I don't blame you, some people don't seem to have any pride in there work. It isn't about criticism of other trades, if people did the job right in the first place there wouldn't be any problems or even owned up for that matter. Unfortunately it's the world we live in these days which isn't right. We all make mistakes it's the way we all learn 👍
metal light fitting is Class 1 Class 2 is double insulated all plastic
Does that drill pod pouch come with the drill bits?
T size fly lead do you use on piranha nuts nick ?
Well done 9n the AM2 Adam 👍
Your not slagging trades off though if your highlighting the fact that they made something that was safe dangerous- if they can't take their feels getting hurt tell them to have sympathy for the families house they could of potentially set on fire. Slag away, slag away... people need to be aware when they do something wrong and take ownership. Banter or not these are genuine serious issues.
Also congratulations again Adam! Didnt know you guys worked in the West Midlands🎉🎉.
Great Video Nick and congratulations to Adam! Never mind the whiners lads, as far as trades go electricians rock!
Don’t see much opportunity for ventilation airflow under the roof deck either
Well done Adam
looks shocking builders and electrics
Artisan would have changed 3000£ for that board change over in cambridge
I feel for the customer, we all fuck up time to time but you should always put right or pay to put right 🙉
Nice one Adam well deserved 🎉
Do you want ajob Adam... kidding love you guys, well done Adam 👏
Bit behind with your videos well done Adam 👍👍👍
If you're in trades then you are either a conman or a perfectionist.
I constantly see all the mistakes I make and am black and blue from kicking myself, so fully get what you're saying.
Hi Nick is there an SPD on this board do you do a quote for them and without them
Masonry bit to drill a metal back box? 'Ave a word, son :)
Site banter is fun, But no trade seems to care about another trade nowadays, I'm booked in so regardless I'll carry on, Communicate simple, Nobody seems to grasp this, We all have telephones,
So does this mean Adam is fully qualified? I'm an Australian high Voltage electrician,so not familiar with UK licencing, also what are you calling a gold card? Nice work as always Nick.⚡🔌💡
No such thing as a UK License it does not exist, or didn’t when I left there in 93
I slag everyone off too 🤣
What’s next for Adam? Night out in casa to celebrate! 😂
Gawd. I was quoted between AU$6500-$7500 to replace my switchboard.
How did you get a gap between the brick wall and consumer unit?
Cut some copper pipe and stepped it off the wall bud
20mm galvanised conduit coupler's work well too.
Trades onsite these days only look after themselves which is a shame.
Also I come across few trades that are any good so I tend to try and get the customer to keep to my book.
Still can't find a decent roofer 😢
That’s nothing - wait til you watch my latest video 🤯
Those stranded twins are imperial. At least 50 years old.
Well done Adam
You always get the tradesman who say they haven’t done anything but have, if in doubt of we’re stuff go take a photo beforehand then all you have to do is look at the picture simply
Live beeing this early
Not all Class II fittings are plastic !
good luck adam
Nice beard bro!
Thanks bud 🙌
Yeeeeehaww
How anyone can walk off a site leaving it in that state is beyond me. making your work safe is a minimum requirement in all trades. Probably a Redrow electrician 🤣🤣🤣
I never see it as slagging people off, your just commenting on what you see, and showing us so we can be aware and be weary.
Thanks
thanks Tim
Don't let the "Wankers" get to you...
Aren't t those AFDDs? Then the 850 price sounds like a bargain.
No mate rcbos
@@NBundyElectrical Ah okay, well still not a bad price.
A/h needs reporting but it won't get u anywhere
where s the beard bro, "has a beard transplant" and I have yet to see a bread, expected to see a big bushy beard.
lol tomsam thinks you're a hack and blaming others
he's clearly NEVER been to a construction project where literally everyone is getting in everyone's way at least all of the time. It's called lack of management.
What happened to Ben? Is he not your new apprentice?
He was only ever doing work experience mate, I don’t want another apprentice as I don’t think it’s fair on them with all the UA-cam stuff I do I can’t commit the time like I did with Adam
@@NBundyElectricalWho’s going to do all the work though? 😂
Just a small moan . I would never drill a 20mm hole in centre of a knockout for a SWA gland , if the knockout was to pop out you would lose your earth continuity to the armouring .
Nor would I drill into the top of an enclosure containing any switchgear. Swarf everywhere!
Jealously from that person who stated you slag other trades etc. to me you seem reluctant and if so it’s justifying. There is one that every video is slating sparks.
You need to keep on slagging trades off pal ,Its got CJR 200k +subs 🤣
😂😂😂
Colin I think your on the wrong channel..
Hey 'tomsam8481' - its 'etc' not 'ect' as in 'et cetera'. This is worse than any electrician allegedly slagging people off.
Too much of your face and talking. I want to see the work.
I don't think you slag people off, you're simply saying it as you see it. CJR on the other hand........wow, stopped watching him, non-stop moan fest
I have no idea why people choose to fit the cheapest boards money can buy. No offence each to their own but a few extra quid and a much better impression is left
I bet they give you the money………..much less than a scrap yard
It’s the same mate
Our customers tell us they receive the same rates for their cable as they do at their local scrapyard - sometimes better. Don’t knock it ‘til you’ve tried it 😂
