I tried that second point of contact on the forearm for the inside turn with an absolute beginner lastnight after getting no joy trying it one handed. It worked! Great bit of advice, thank you!
I love it. Nice suggestion.. " if you come close and they are still happy" you can carry on. Else, move away. So simple but so true. :). Video about leading properly, are so important for us (leader). Do yo have a list, or a specific playlist for videos leading ?
Idea for a video/question: How to politely refuse to be 'a teacher' on a dance floor when you're not teaching. We know you have to be careful about giving feedback to a partner (leave it to the teacher/not your job at a social/do they want to hear it/etc). Recently I've had a follower want to ask me questions when I'm leading when I want to improve my leading and not tell them the moves. Not a short answer, so I'll ask a teacher in person, but one I thought you might like to cover in a video.
Never considered guiding the arm for a turn when a beginner is unsure... I suppose this can also be applied to salsa on those occasions when a beginner needs extra prompting on the direction of a turn?
Rasa, can you please do a video on a double spin as a follower in partnered bachata? I never feel prepared for it and it ends up being clunky because I kind of stop at the single turn and then attempt to keep going, but now the timing’s thrown off. I feel like I can’t ever tell when a lead is going to double turn me and it’s just off every time. I can’t find any videos online about this - please make one! By the way, you and your mom are so cute!!
@@DanceWithRasa thank you!! You’re literally my favorite account on YT - and one of the biggest helps in my dance journey! Please don’t stop what you’re doing, you’re amazing!!🥰❤️
If the follower easily gets the hang of bachata, and the connection and arm tension is there, then you can even learn her the Madrid step. But save it for your second dance. First just straight: One step back and three forward, one forward and three back. Repeat some times so she gets the steps and rhythm. Then you can add the curls. The Madrid step is good at instrumental sections, as it is more of a footwork move.

Madrid is a bit ambitious if its absolute beginner , but once the frame is better you can definitely try 😉
@@DanceWithRasa Agree, they definitely need the frame, but some followers have it from other dances.
@@alfacentauri3686 absolutely 💯 then you can do many more things 😇
