These Ultimates are forced evolutions for extreme harsh combat, so there could be Ben going Berserk from PTSD and Traumatic Memories that don't actually exist, perhaps with distortions from his actual life (Such as "War Memories" from his Ultimate Humongossaur that sees his enemies that forced him to evolve as Ben's Old-School Bullies or past enemies like Vilgax taking his loved ones from him, and putting him into a war). I'd also try to include the "Ultimate-Ultimate" concept, since it was confirmed to be canon that the "Ultimate Feature" can be stacked on top of one another, creating a SUPER Ultimate, but it never managed to be utilized in the show. I actually think symbiote spiderman is a really good analogy for the ultimates because what your promised is spiderman bonded with an alien that combines both of their powers but half the time he’s in media it’s literally just spiderman in a black suit
Being completely fair. It's usually sold as just a boost to Spiderman's current powers and the alien's actual abilities are not used in full until Eddy gets bonded to it. Remember that in the comic Peter honest to God thought it was just a suit and not an alien. And the second he learned it was alive he got rid of it. I think the only time it gives him new powers is in the video games for gameplay purposes more than anything else.
I like to think that Big Chill, Cannonbolt, Wildmutt and Waybig didn't change that mutch because they were already perfect. Now, jokes aside, i do wish they used it better, like everyone. Imaginé having Ultimate Brainstorm or Ghostfreak!
My speculation about why ultimate humungosaurus can throw misiles: they are kidney stones, they were exposed to a condition of high salinization of water and humungosaurs who could expelled kidney stones out of glands in their hands had a bigger chance of survival. This specialization kept becoming stronger and stronger until it became a weapon
I will say right away that in just a few appearances, Ultimatrix Albedo in the Omniverse has revealed its potential Ultimate more than all 3 seasons Ultimate Alien
Fun fact: The reboot's Omni-kix gimmick is used way better then the ultimates. Almost each episode has an Omni-kix form in it, and all 10 of Ben's aliens have an Omni-kix form
Personally, I think that just means they were thought out better, not necessarily used better. I liked omni-enhanced because it was a result of DNA from another alien affecting the rest of the transformations. On the other hand, omni-kix and omni-naught barely give anything new to the forms except for making them look like robots. Plus they literally weaponize the forms which completely goes against the intended purpose of the Omnitrix.
So obviously this is a kids show and objectively the writing is like a 6/10 but I think a drawback to ultimate forms would have been cool like if he makes an alien ultimate than it permanently becomes ultimate and he can’t use the regular form making the ultimate transformation a gamble
A weird pick I know, but I think StinkFly would have been a cool alien to see get an Ultimate form, as giving the OG flier a new form with different powers and abilities could help it to carve out a niche to stand alongside the otherwise more versatile Jetray and Big Chill.
Btw, I didn't see anyone saying this (if someone did, well, I didn't see, as I said), but Ultimate Echo Echo apparently was supposed to also duplicate like normal Echo Echo (which was apparently shown in a comic) but a bug on the Ultimatrix made it so he lost this feature. Also, Ultimate Humangassaur shoots bones projectiles
I feel like there are 2 big ways to make Ultimates feel more impactful: 1. Add some kind of downside to them. Maybe going Ultimate makes the transformations time out faster, or maybe Ben just has a harder time keeping the more war like instincts of these war bred aliens under control. Hell, maybe going Ultimate repeatedly makes Ben more aggressive even when he isn't transformed like Peter with the symbiote. Introduce some kind of risk or downside so that when Ben does go Ultimate it really does feel like the situation is so dire that he needs to accept the risk in exchange for more power. 2. Replace all the Aliens with their ultimate version wholesale. Instead of making Ultimates be a power up that Ben can turn on mid combat, maybe the Ultimatrix can only transform into the evolved forms and not the originals. At least then we'd get the spectacle of seeing them more often and with more variety. Would almost give off the impression that Ben is going into Ultimate Alien with an entirely new set of aliens that he needs to figure out. Would also solve the issue of most of Ben's aliens never getting Ultimates
I have an ideia on my head, were the ultimates and the ultimatrix work in a similar fashion to the black suit on the 90s spiderman cartoon, making Ben more agressive, and creepy, as well as kinda of making him adicted, and that is why he chooses to kill kevin, because he goes crazy fr, fr, and then there is this bittersweet relationship beetwen the two, were they don't really forgive one another, but they are kinda of ok, and a the end of season two or something, we get a two part episodio showing that the reason that was happening was because the ultimates were slowy gainning conscience and trying to scape just cuz they kinda of wanna live their lives, so ben sacrifices himself, the ultimates are kinda of chill, ben and kevin forgive one another and azmuth takes the ultime function away cuz he is fr kinda of pissed of with this role shit, and goes "i warned ya guys, morons."
I mean its a feature solely meant for combat that kind of just goes against the purpose of the omnitrix, not to mention they were barely used. Azmuth never approved of it Taking the Ultimates away was probably a good decision in the long run. Also it was UA that took it away not OV
This one is honestly the most mishandled gimmick in comparison to the others. It's genuinely sucks we didn't get more Ultimate Aliens and even more when you realize that there are multiple episodes in a row without the use of Ultimates.
And that’s a good thing the ultimates were cash grabs because alien force wasn’t doing so well Ben is more interesting without his gimmicks the aliens and how he uses them are the gimmicks itself and nothing else so it’s a good thing they dropped it.
@mafiagrim I guess, but when you introduce an interesting gimmick which could have had an interesting story with Ben and have it haphazardly handled, you can't help but be frustrated. Hell Ultimate Aggregor and Ultimate Kevin do more for than the actual Ultimate Aliens are supposed to do. You could even have Albedo return and steal the Ultimatrix and make the Ultimates his thing like Omniverse did later. It's just disappointing that a lot of the potential with the Ultimate Aliens was squandered.
if the ultimates were given the same care as ultimate echo echo then i think they would be seen in a better light not great of course but better then what we got cause the ultimate transformation feels so thrown out there feeling like an after thought
I thought of an idea for how an ultimate could have been tied into the plot. During the travel of the Forge of Creation, Professor Paradox said that the Forge of Creation can't be seen outside of time. So what if Professor Paradox hinted to Ben that Clockwork had an Ult? Then Ben could transform into Ult Clockwork, allowing the UAF trio to see the Forge of Creation and gain some new powers. Also to add my favourite Ult is Ult Echo Echo.
Omniverse did a better job with the ultimate by only keeping it for albedo and they also have better designs in ov artstyle . And ov also introduce more

Ult Spidermonkey, don't even get me started.) -Designs are mid to wack (except Ult. Humungosaur, Swampfire and Echo-Echo) -Weak to electricity for some reason (even tho makes sense for Echo-Echo and Big Chill) -And the biggest L (BEFORE OMNIVERSE): Not even 10 fucking Ultimates.
Not gonna lie in the past I actually didn't like them and wanted only their base form but now they've grown on me. Of course they could've been used better
I think the writers realized pretty early that having Ben the hero of the story force his transformation go through forced evolution (Eugenics) was a terrible idea. Plus it’s useless as Ben can switch between alien forms if one alien can’t save the day he can just switch to another The Ultimatrix works better as a villian power which is why they gave it back to Albedo in OV. But then again I can’t credit the writers since they brought back fusion which is just as bad
Man they really wasted the ultimates, except for ultimate echo echo nome of the other ultimate aliens are good, I just wish they gave ultimate aliens to some of the less used aliens and more of the classic aliens to make them feel more fresh.
I think you nailed everything on the head. Ben's best ultimates are the 4 you mentioned, the OV Ultimates do typically have better designs, and Ash's Ultimates almost always clear their canon counterpart(can't beat Ult Echo Echo's aura and Ult Humungousaur's iconicness as the face of the Ultimates). Although I want to ask, favorite of the Ash Ultimates?
There's quite a bit I disagree with this video. Like your takes on Ben going Ultimate on Captain Nemesis and not going Ultimate against Ultimate Aggregor. For the former, it showed how serious Ben was taking Captain Nemesis's threat and didn't waste any time. He went in and kicked his butt in 5 seconds. It shows how Ben shouldn't be messed with. We know that Ultimate Humungasuar wasn't going to lose, but that wasn't the point. It was cool to see Ben bust out an Ultimate thanks to how serious he was. No name shout or anything. For the latter, the scene made it pretty clear that Ben was in a beseaker rage after Aggregor absorbed the 5 aliens. He wasn't thinking clearly and so it makes sense that going Ultimate would slip his mind. For your impact moments, there's some agreement I have like we needed more Ultimates and scenes of them. For my disagreements is your point of the Ultimates not having any impact outside of Ultimate Echo Echo vs Ultimate Kevin. Ultimate Spider-Monkey got some good scenes like him fighting Balieven and him fighting the DNAlien Spider-Monkey. Ultimate Swampfire got a cool moment of blowing up the plant monster. Ultimate Big Chill's first appearance was pretty cool despite the lame design. Ultimate Humungasur got some good moments like Captain Nemesis, the Ultimate Sarface, his battle with Darkstar, and his use against Ultimate Kevin. I can name a few more, but you get my point. For your Ultimates in Omniverse praise bit, I completely disagree. In fact, I would aruge that Omniverse handled the Ultimates very poorly. The OV-execule designs were so lame and uninteresting that it puts Ultimate Cannonbolt to shame. The Ultimate Predators were done so badly given how the only one was defeated with no issues. Also that in Omniverse, Ben never beat Albedo in his arc with skill. He won by dumb luck or a literal deus ex machina in Atomix.

-And the biggest L (BEFORE OMNIVERSE): Not even 10 fucking Ultimates.
Not gonna lie in the past I actually didn't like them and wanted only their base form but now they've grown on me. Of course they could've been used better
I mean the fact we didn't get atleast 10 ultimate forms...
Out All these intro of Ben 10 video you start up with WHAT ! oh hell no rip angry grandpa
i agree with you
I think the writers realized pretty early that having Ben the hero of the story force his transformation go through forced evolution (Eugenics) was a terrible idea. Plus it’s useless as Ben can switch between alien forms if one alien can’t save the day he can just switch to another
The Ultimatrix works better as a villian power which is why they gave it back to Albedo in OV.
I love yeah, revive all the old ones and give them upgrades😅
I think you nailed everything on the head. Ben's best ultimates are the 4 you mentioned, the OV Ultimates do typically have better designs, and Ash's Ultimates almost always clear their canon counterpart(can't beat Ult Echo Echo's aura and Ult Humungousaur's iconicness as the face of the Ultimates). Although I want to ask, favorite of the Ash Ultimates?
I have a feeling that you don’t think the Ultimate Alien series is Peak Fiction 🤨
That’s a discussion we’ll have another day 😄
11:51 I disagree, I want them to be used by Ben
It still boggles my mind we didn't BARE MINIMUM get ultimate forms for the AF 9 and whatever fan fav to give us 10
Make A vídeo about megas XLR being a precursor to Ben 10
They did fumble the bag after alien force season 3 finale.
Would have been dope
Ultimate Alien X
The Ultimates had a lot of potential to be amazing, but sad it pretty much fell flat and I personally think it works for Albedo than Ben imo
Hey, quick question, how do you script your videos?
9:06 that’s disrespectful and attacked by a a character from a shitty live action
The only cool ultimate were big chill, echo echo and humungasor
which is another reason many people not like spider monkey and big chill
Well, I like Ultimate Spider-Monkey.
@@RazerRival true but when ash creat a vote of everyone least favoreit ultimates spider monkey rank last because of his gorilla look in stead of monkey
Ben’s is more interesting without his gimkicks so I’m glad they weren’t used that much
While I agree with you,I can't help but like the reboot omni-kick armor.
Ov use the ultimate better by keeping it for albedo
calling ultimate alien the "most iconic" series in the franchise 💔
I'm gonna be defending Ultimate Big Chill to my grave but as a species that reproduces asexually, this isnt that unrealistic for something millions of years into its future, also the change from col breath to ionizing rays that remove isotopes is kickass.
Rest of the identical ultimates are just bad or wildmut
They could do that again but then don't want to its too much op when the Aliens are Already op 😂 and its Common they are doing that everywhere mega evolution from pokemon they are bringing it Back but not for long maybe in the future games but not everything and more stories and all that
Listen all I'm saying is out some respect on my man ultimate Way big he's an Ultraman reference and that's all he needs to be 😂
Ain’t nothing ultra about that man 😭
@@DanBoyWonder nah man he's got the exact same colors the blue and red is a reference to one of Ultraman's like super sayain forms. Plus the spinning move to deflect ranged attacks is straight out of the Ultraman moveset same with the weird arm pose laser
