I'm not so familiar with CELPE-Bras, but try and take a look at the website: The exam is administered by the National Institute for Research in Education (INEP) and the Brazilian Department of Education (Ministério de Educação e Cultura-MEC). The certification is available as an electronic certificate on the INEP's website, celpebras.inep.gov.br.
Am I missing something, or is there a lack of testing centers in the US? Some sources say you can take it at embassies, some say only certain universities?
The best place to check is the Cambridge English website. At least there you can check the centers where they apply an exam or another. I know that in Canada there are some, but I really don't know many in the US.

You can: - use books, - watch youtube channels - take private classes -study at schools, etc. My focus here is not on teaching the language but on talking about exams. I'm planning on providing an online course and a channel to go in this direction as well, but I'm still organizing myself with time.
