Hey Guys, I recently visited this PIMPRI SCIENCE PARK which is located in Pimpri Chinchwad, Pune.
Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park / Science Park Pune is one of the latest tourist attractions and activity-based Science centers in the Pune region.
The Science center has multiple galleries about science and technology on different topics like sound, automobiles, hearing, mirrors and reflection, gravity, and so on.
There is an open-air science park spread over 3.5 acres. Most of the exhibits and experiments in the science center and science park are interactive in nature and visitors can explore science in an entertaining way.
The Center also conducts many Science shows such as 3D show, Taramandal show, and Live demonstrations for visiting people and student groups. It also organise activity-based programs and workshops for students and teachers.
The Science is non-formal education institution to communicate developments in Science and Technology among the masses, and encourage the creativity and spirit of students.
The beautifully constructed Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park is spread over 7 acres and was formally inaugurated in February 2013. Although it is a recent addition to the Pune itinerary, it has gained immense popularity among local folks and tourists alike.It is an excellent place to conduct annual school trips.
The place is divided into 7 core areas- automobiles, fun science, energy, climate change, 3D show, science park, and Dino Park.
In the automobile area, you can look at the mechanism and functioning of the clutch, brake, gear, among other parts that you can operate manually to learn its working. The fun science area has all the lights, magnet, and mirror effects to enjoy.
The science park and Dino park on the outside are coupled with various exhibits to experience the science behind things and display dinosaurs from an era bygone.
Each exhibit has something new and unique to offer. It is ideal for kids and adults to enjoy the functioning of basic things to the most complex ones. It is a must visit tourist destination of Pune. The outdoor parks cover about 3.5 acres of the total area.
The 3D show and Taramandal show take us into a whole new world of astronomy. You need to crawl through a tunnel-like structure to reach the Taramandal show.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park is maintained by the National Council of Science Museums (NCSM) and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC). The PCMC organises "Popular science lectures", where prominent speakers from the science field share their knowledge and understanding. The PCMC further hosts science events like- science fairs, science workshops, and science seminars, for which advanced circulars are given to nearby schools and colleges.
The Pimpri Chinchwad Science Park is a must-visit place for school children as they get to learn practically what their coursebook has to offer them.
Note:
1. There are clean washrooms in the Science Park and a small canteen for refreshments.
2. MONDAY CLOSED
3. Visit early morning for all the shows
