Amen! I am convinced my whole family is of this ilk. They have no fruit of the Spirit even though they have been in church gatherings all their lives and I am 70 years old, they are older than I.
Matthew 7:21-23 "21 “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. 22 On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ 23 And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’"
Fruit of the Spirit: All born-again believers must have this fruit.
Galatians 5:22-23
"22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."
Most of the people I speak to about God claim to be Christians and are embarrassed at the mention of the name of Jesus Christ.

George Washington was right that America can not survive without morality and belief in God. But which god? It has to be the right god that believes in morality, and in holiness, self control and kindness and RELIGIOUS faith. Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. AND BY THE WAY, I am not a christian BUT EVEN I KNOW, that I miss the christian faith and I also recognize that only traditional Christianity made this country great and gave this country great values. EVEN BUSINESSES were moral and good until about late 1800s. Then it was only the medium sized or small or local businesses that were moral. But still , our government wasn' t always evil. Capitalism cannot work in an immoral and non god fearing nation.
RellgoodThere is no standard for atheists to look to as to what is "good" and "not good." It's all subjective to an atheist, therefore an atheist has no moral authority in their lives. As a result, an atheist has no business lecturing anyone on how to be a good person or what constitutes goodness.
Which is why no solid Christian pays any attention to what atheists have to say about something they don't even believe in.

"We wouldn't need locks on our doors." The vast majority of Africans are religious Christians and look at their countries. So obviously it is not Christianity what makes people good.
The people may be faithful and good, but their leadership is corrupt.
