Hi, Nelida Thank you for reaching out! The only way to get around that is to look for a community that has low HOA and the amenities you're looking for. I receive your request from my website let me know when is a good time to call you. Thank You
Consider what you’re getting with the cost of your HOA, Ms. Wheaton. Community pools cost money to maintain (not just the chemicals, but the pool tile, and concrete around it, too.) You’re also paying for landscaping, most likely tennis courts and a clubhouse. All of those things require utilities and maintenance. It’s worth it when you consider what you’d pay for your own swimming pool. :)

@@YourPoolHomeRealtor yes right now my income is temporary unemployment because of seasonal layoff. About 655 a week. Would be more when I’m working. No seasonal layoffs down there in my line of work.
Con....no Ikea is a major one. I've never had a problem with those bugs. When do they come out. I've been in Cape Coral every month except February and have been coming down to the area since the late 90's. I currently have a condo in Cape Harbour in south Cape Coral and love the view of the Caloosahatchee river estuary, all the islands, the gulf of Mexico and the amazing canals. So I would say that another plus are the spectacular views. Tuesday nights are bike nite in Cape Harbour and there's live music with some of the best classic rock bands. You did mention the cost of real estate but also don't forget that high end real estate is about 1/2 the price of what you'll typically find on the east coast such as Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, North Miami including Sunny Isles and finally Miami. Another plus and I'm surprised you missed this one. Fort Myers and especially Cape Coral are boater's paradise. Cape Coral is in the Guinness book of records as having the most canals and waterways in any city in the world. In fact most of the homes are located next to water. You can boat out to open water, beautiful beaches and island restaurants in a matter of minutes. Some of the houses on these canals are just spectacular. In fact someone's building a 20,000 Sq Ft home at Tarpon Estates which will take 2 years to complete. A lot of homes have a dock in the back with a pool under a lanai which is also perfect for entertaining. Another plus is that both Cape Coral and Fort Myers have access to a lot of wildlife preserves and government beaches/parks like Bowman's Beach and Ding Darling National Wildlife preserve. These two gems are located on beautiful Sanibel Island. Sanibel Island and Captiva island which are connected by a bridge have beautiful resorts and a few nice restaurants. Captiva is so lush with beautiful gardens and tropical flowers, trees and vegetation are as beautiful as any island you will find in the Caribbean! If that's not enough for you, you're a short drive to Siesta Key just to the north where you will find some of the nicest beaches in the USA. You mentioned the traffic in Fort Myers during the snowbird season; That's what I love about Cape Coral, the traffic is not as bad and if you know how to get around and how to avoid the traffic it's not an issue. Another plus: There are more and more awesome restaurants and bars and you can find almost anything at any price. Sea food, Italian, Mediterranean, steak houses, Chinese buffets, Middle Eastern and Indian plus the usual fast food. Another key plus that you missed: The cost of living! The restaurants and bars are all reasonably priced and grocery stores like Publix and the neighborhood Walmart have excellent choices and their prices are also very reasonable. Also there are numerous farmers markets on weekends and lots of bakeries and prepared food store/markets. One of my favorites is in Cape Coral and just happens to be just minutes from my place: Amore italian market and bakery near Chiquita and Cape Coral Pkwy. Another plus is the amount of furniture stores and their quality, choice and reasonable prices. As we all know, vehicles are important whether for play, work or errands. There are some really good garages that offer excellent service at reasonable rates. Plus there are so many car dealerships of every kind from used to new, you can find anything you need to get around and that holds true for boats too. Last but not least: Fort Myers airport: I remember over 20 years ago when I used to land at Fort Myers airport. Today the highway in and out of Fort Myers makes access easy. You can find all the car rentals and you can count on this airport as being the friendliest one you'll ever find. Airport security is professional but very courteous and the lineups are never long. You can find flights to all the major hubs from Fort Myers too. Also don't forget that there's also a high speed ferry that takes you to Key West and back....

Hi, Bryce thank you very much for reaching out. Cape Coral has everything from bank's school, shopping, and doctors' offices. You could get a house for that price in Cape Coral, if you want to rent a condo or townhome Ft Myers is your best bet. I used to love the condo living until I got my pool home since I like to entertain a lot, check this area rentals from my website bit.ly/Leecountyrentals you could see everything that is available or you can call me anytime with any questions 239.822.0937

They start that in this area and the county didn't approve it
@@YourPoolHomeRealtor too bad.
When he said the beaches, I heard the bitches… the bitches are really beautiful 😂😂😂
This video is on point. I personally loved the muggy summers. But you failed to mention the crime. The murders, unsolved & solved. The shootings that happens at 4-way stop signs. The gangs. Kidnappings, solved & unsolved!

You went from pro #2 to tip #3, tip #4 to pro #5. How did you miss that lol? No amenities in a community is not a pro. Then you said "all those amenities".
A change of season is a con?! Then stay up north.Lol.
Thanks for your comment yeah some people miss the season change... Not me, I like the sand, beach and pool season lolol
Where did you move from? Are you Hispanic, Mexico? So. America? I know you're not Cuban....
I'm from New Jersey and raised in Puerto Rico by military parents, why this question?
Oh just curious, you referenced seasonal changes.
Leaving Jersey is a good reason for moving.
I was born in Florida, considering moving back from Commifornia. Not the same as 40 years ago when the Navy brought me here.
Ok I'm sold lol
Working on my new pros and cons of Fort Myers thanks
@@YourPoolHomeRealtor I just came back from Miami lastnight. I dont want to move there but it's a beautiful vacation spot. I want to relocate somewhere in FL where the cost of living is good.
@@LAHA759 Yeah this area is getting a little expensive but you could still get some good deals, compared to the Miami area Let me know if there's anything I can do to help!
@@YourPoolHomeRealtor Thank you :)
Pros: boating, fishing, beaches.
Cons: hot and humid in summer time with sun burning your eyes and skin. Heavy rain daily, especially in summertime. Snakes, bugs, mosquitos.
Poor job market opportunities and low pay.
Boooooring and slow life style. Culture, violence, crime, etc...etc...
You're right it is boring and low pay.... unfortunately, there's no city out there with no crime some are more than others, we just have to watch out where we hang out..... Thank you for your comment
If you don't like the lack of season change- Go Back Home!
Don't have to go back homes because I don't care about the season change lolol but the majority of people that move here in Florida have that problem with that .....
I can think of another "con" . . . . Ian.
For sure that’s #1 so sad we lost everything Swfl coast is completely destroyed 😢😭

@@YourPoolHomeRealtor Yes, the devastation is heartbreaking. One of my friends lives in Tampa near Hampton Lake. She and her husband flew to Hawaii before Ian hit.
Its OVER TO HOT in Florida its not good for Our Korian Skin.
Mostly summer they're hot and humid
@@YourPoolHomeRealtor Summer lasts for 6 months! 🔥
way over priced for home at that price in fort myers
Don’t forget the shootings
Cons:
He left out the alligators that kill pets, children and adults
There’s one in my community and they haven’t do anything about it, untill something bad happened, Then they will do something
@@YourPoolHomeRealtor NOT the neighborhood I'd ever live in
