- Join us on a shorter route from Walvis Bay to Windhoek. We stopped off for a picnic in the back of the truck then stopped for the famous Apple Pie at Moose McGregor's Dessert Bakery Solitaire Namibia. It takes almost the same amount of time to travel from Preston my home city to go to London. It is 247 miles or 398 km from Windhoek to Walvis Bay.

The sky with the sun coming up is so beautiful. I love being on the drive with you all and seeing the animals run freely. Do people try to catch them or are they just roaming out in the open. Love his accent. Lol. What language do people who grew up Namibia speak? Do they learn both English and Afrikaans? I love learning about the culture. The apple crumble looks good. Everyone seems to love it!
Hi Roxy. So sorry for the late reply. I haven't been getting on much recently. The animals do run freely. I don't know if they are allowed to be caught anywhere, but I know there are specific game lodges and other places where people hunt. There are a lot of languages and different cultures here. A lot of people speak Afrikaans and English but there are other native languages. When Ryan was at school, he learnt English and Afrikaans, but someone was telling me some schools you can learn your Mother tongue. Thanks so much for watching xx
