OMG so sick. Best ZX9R ever. Looks like a real bike to me. After this generation the ZX9R and most of the other sportbikes started looking kind of silly, with lots of sharp creases and little wings and stuff in the bodywork that is totally pointless. Love that paint job. Love the side exhaust, love the bright green wheels, love the simple dash and gauges, I could go on and on.
This is an E2 model, mine was from 1998. Put a 20 mm. bush on top of the rear spring to make her stear a bit sharper, and set suspension roughly according Performance Bike Magazine road settings. Lovely bike,would only misbehave if you really asked for it. Changed standard Michelins for BT010 rear and BT020 front, almost made it two rears to one front. Hope this one will give you a lot of joyfull miles!
Good afternoon. What is your weight ? Are you riding alone ? I prefer Michelin or Pirelli. If there is an opportunity, then I put Pirelli. I drove around the race track, Pirelli and Michelin proved themselves well, unlike Bridgestone and Dunlop.
@@-Motoval- Hi, around 80 kilos, ride alone and road. The original pilot race did take a step when cold sometimes, but once warm were fine. And only lasted 2500 km. The Batlaxx were then the first dual compound sports tires, and lasted upto 4000 km rear, nearly made 1:2 with the fronts. I was not that rich in those days, so it mattered :-). I am traveling for work right now, but when I get home I might have kept the suspension settings somewhere,I will have a look. But there might be something on the web as well, I think...
@@martijnvandonselaar8957 My friend. I weigh 74 kg without equipment. I squeezed the rear spring a little. It seemed to me that the suspension became tougher. If you put a ring , the motorcycle will become higher ? 2500km is catastrophically small.
Wonderful motirbike, produced for year 2001, but sold a lot in 2002 in discount (kawasaki produced more elements then the requested)....I think one of the most beautiful, powerful, reliable and eternal motorbike that has been produced in the history! I still have it in my garage!
I completely agree with you. I'm sorry I sold the bike. It was sad to part with such a motorcycle. Vision problems put an end to the operation of sports bikes.

@-Motoval- it's definitely an E series Zx9r (2000-2001). The F series bike which was 2002-2003 had quite a few changes although looked quite similar. The biggest easy to spot differences are : the E series had 6 piston Tokico front brake callipers, the F had 4 piston Nissin's. The E still had the upper fairing brace bracket between the fairing and the tank, the F didn't. And the F had no pillion grab handles at all.

I agree with you. It's a beautiful bike and the colors are amazing. I'm sad, they don't make motorcycles like this anymore.

@@-Motoval- just mark the suspension with a tie wrap, and see what works / feels right.

@@martijnvandonselaar8957 I always put plastic ties on the front shock absorbers. I don't know how to check the rear shock absorber.
