- Congratulations, World, not that you had anything to do with it. Van Damme's Universal Soldier is officially the peak of all humanity, and also the universe as a whole. There's no possible way to top JCVD and Dolph Lundgren, unless you add a second Van Damme or maybe Nicolas Cage. I doubt the world could handle that, anyways, so this is what we have and it's AMAZING.

Always- there's the baseline mentions when innocent people/women/children get killed, but then there's the special ones, like 12:41 "a level of fake cop not seen since Steven Seagal." Dolph even managed a Louisiana badge in homage to that fakest of fake cops.
Seagal was the reason old yeller got rabies and I also think he had something to do with John Voights death in Champ.

1) Space Ice using that restored 4K release to capture footage = GLORIOUS! Look at how crisp and sharp it is!
2) I actually saw this in theaters with my big brother opening day in NYC. One of the best theater experiences ever. Everyone was into it, non-stop cheers and laughs.
3) Man, Billy Ray and Guttenberg taught me never to interrupt JCVD while he is eating.

I'm in a marathon of watching all of Van Damme's films, I've seen about 19, and Universal Soldier is a 10 without a doubt
I've seen 48 out of his 53 English-language movies (if you include Breakin' and I do) and they are all 10.
Except Derailed. That was pretty bad. It's still a 10 because Van Damme, but it's like a much smaller version of 10. Like if you wrote it really thin, or maybe in a tiny font.

Yes!!! This made my day. I know Space Ice already made a top reasons why Universal Soldier is the best movie ever video, but I had been hoping he'd make a full movie recap. It was so worth the wait. Space Ice is the best UA-camr. JCVD is the best. I've loved watching Universal Soldier since I first saw it in theaters all the way back in 1992. What a great combination of the most epic things ever!!

All my memories of this movie come flushing back to me after the car lighter scene. Then I totally remembered as a kid I placed that on my thumb to see how hot it got and charred my flesh after seeing this movie haha.. I can still smell it.
