    Just bought this pin from FUN! in Dallas. According to them, it is the machine featured in this video. I gotta say, it is still a fantastic example, and you guys did great work! Their service tech is jealous, he thought his Gorgar was the best he’d ever seen until this one arrived in their shop. I love it!

    I won a tourney on one of these called RAGROG Gogar backwards. The flippers were wired to opposite flip. Could only hit flipper one at a time. A really sweet game I'd love to add to my collection one day.

    I like the upgrades and I think I may go the LED display route on mine as well. My master display board is corrupt and gradually I lost my ball/match display. I figured I could just get another board but why not upgrade and just keep the originals in a safe place to keep as original parts.
    I skipped a lot of high school when Gorgar hit the streets and he just never got out from under my skin, I have owned mine for about twenty years now. I don't think I could ever get used to my beast looking that way though with all the extra colours added, but that's just me, bit of a Gorgar purist I guess.
    I had to park him about a decade ago because he started doing some strange things and I figured I would just let him rest until I got to a part of my life where I could actually deal with his issues and get that heart beating properly again.
    I'm just starting to blow off the dust and see if I can even remember what was going on, something to do with the sounds not matching what the play field was doing, heartbeat not resetting on next ball or player. I can't remember now, I just went into panic mode, pulled the batteries, unplugged it for fear of any further possible damage.
    BUT, I can't for the life of me remember how the three AAA batteries were placed. Oddly enough the board has no markings for - or + and the manual doesn't seem to cover this either. Normally you would place the flat - towards a spring but there are (as you know) just flat blades (for lack of a better term). I don't want to risk further injuring him by putting them in wrong.
    I've cruised around looking for pictures of that board but seem to only find low res that once you zoom in you can't tell what is what but I almost get the impression they all face the same way.
    Any help would be appreciated.

      +Goregoon The minus side always goes to the edge of the board where the GROUND goes...so whichever terminal connects to most of the large pieces of foil ont he game, thats minus. The PLUS side ALWAYS goes to one side of a diode.

    Would love to know what / how the "Magic" was on the back glass. A video tut or link? Tanx

  • @zaphodb777
    @zaphodb777 Рік тому

    The back glass lit by the LEDs looks like the LEDs are too directional, causing uneven illumination. I would think some sort of small diffusers would be in order. Then again, maybe my monitor just sucks.

    Didn't Jungle Lord have the same magnet? How is it activated for Gorgar? Does it use an optic sensor, like Tales of the Arabian Nights?

      German metal band Helloween performing their song "Gorgar" live, maybe. It was about singer Michael Kiske's habit of throwing all his change down the Gorgar they had in their local pub at the time.

    Love the videos!!!! I bought a Gorgar a few years back. Loved this when I was a kid, pumped a lot of quarters into the one at the local bowling alley. I do have a question, sometimes when I turn on the machine the sound works, sometimes not. Any suggestions? Would love to get the machine gone through and LED upgraded.

    I just picked up a Gorgar from guy that did the wrong wire harness hook up mentioned at 5:10. Which boards took the hit on that screw-up. Are those boards easily repairable?. I know it would be faster to buy replacement boards, but i would not mind the challenge of doing some board work.

    I have an identical Gorgar, all LED and Rottendog. Just like that one, the player lights and bottom BG lights won't function with LED's, I noticed yours still has lightbulbs in it. I'm curious why the LED's won't work in them, any ideas?

    • @tntamusements
      @tntamusements  9 років тому

      pinballshawn We put LED's under our playfield...the GOR GAR is purple and also under the white inserts...so not sure. We use Pinball Life LED's...just placed another $1200 order as a matter of fact!

      TNT Amusements Inc I got you, I use Pinball life as well. I'm talking behind the backglass, player 1, player 2, etc. and on the very bottom Game Over, Match, etc. The flashing ones are light bulbs. I can't remember what the problem was, I did mine a long time ago.

    What’s the story here? Why is there a hand like GORGARs on the backboard? And the helmet in the middle of the bumpers has a GORGAR skull in it. So are there more GORGAR demons? Is he the leader? Who’s the snake wizard? Who’s the green eyed skeleton in the throne?
